The plot synopsis of The Blue Bridge. The story takes place during the First World War, when Roy (Robert Taylor), an army lieutenant returning home on vacation, meets dancer Mara (Vivien Leigh) on Waterloo Bridge. However, just as they decide to get married, they are separated by the war. In order to see her lover one last time, Mara misses a ballet performance and loses her job. Mara is devastated to hear that Roy has been killed in action and becomes a prostitute.
