Beijing Xiaoqu is a professional Xiaoqu singer who performs independent art performances in tea gardens, stages and temple fairs. Among the famous singers in Beijing at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the actresses are Song Dahong and the actors are Xiao Yuqing, Yin Fulai and Zhao. For example, Yin Fulai's Big Five Tables, Small Five Tables and Exploring Qingshui River, and Zhao's The Twelfth Floor and Embroidering Kirin are all very popular.
Although it is a genre, there are many new ditties in the past dynasties. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the most popular and long-lasting ditties in Beijing were Opera, Tea Qu, Goat on the Hillside, Zhu, Children's Play, Yinniu Si, Parasitic Grass, Jujube Stem and so on.
Some of these minor tunes are still circulating, some have changed their names, some have disappeared from the stage, and some have become an integral part of some traditional China opera music.
