With the passage of time, the problem of population aging again triggered the collection.
Data show that the post-60 group is continuing to retire at an average rate of 20 million people per year.
From the founding of New China, the first population peak in 1962 to 1972 this 10 years, which also means that, from this year onwards, the population of retirees around the world will be increased one after another, a large-scale "retirement tide" is coming.
Retirement involves two issues, one is the increasing number of elderly people, and the other is old age.
Data show that in 2021, China's population aged 60 years and over reached 267 million, accounting for 18.9%, compared with the 2020 seven universal data published 264 million rose by about 0.2 percentage points.
More than 200 million people, or 14.2 percent of the population, are 65 years old or older, again up 0.7 percentage points from the 190 million in the seventh round of data.
According to the prediction of relevant departments in China, in the period of "14th Five-Year Plan", the population of 60 years old and above will reach 300 million, accounting for more than 20% of the population, and our country will enter into the stage of moderate aging; and by 2035, the population of 60 years old and above will exceed 400 million, accounting for more than 30% of the population, and enter into the stage of severe aging. aging stage.
Not only is the population aging rapidly growing, but there are also large differences between regions.
If we look at the country as a whole, there are more old people in urban areas than in rural areas, but the degree of aging is higher in rural areas than in towns, mainly because many young people have left the countryside to work abroad, and those who stay in the countryside are more often old people, so the proportion has increased.
While retired 60-year-olds in the towns are dancing in the squares, 60-year-olds in the countryside are still farming with their heads in the sand.
Because for many old people in the countryside, there is no such thing as retirement.
For historical reasons, the pension system in rural areas started relatively late, which means that many rural elderly people were not in a position to contribute to the pension before, and therefore could not enjoy the pension system, even if they reached the age of retirement, they could not receive a pension.
Rural residents aged 60 or older can receive a basic pension, but it's no match for the thousands of dollars they can receive in urban pensions.
As of 2022, China's urban retiree pensions have risen for 18 consecutive years, and according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, in 2021, the average per-capita pension of the country's corporate retirees will be 2,987 yuan per month.
And how much is the basic pension in rural areas?
It was initially just a few dozen yuan, then rose to just over 100 yuan, and in most areas it ranges from 200 to 300 yuan.
There was a report back in 2015 on the current state of rural pensions in China, showing that more than 60 percent of the elderly in rural areas have no savings, and more than 30 percent need to be cared for in their lives, and tearfully say they are satisfied with the 60 yuan of labor insurance they receive each month.
And by 2022, rural old-age care will still be the problem of problems.
Because of the underdevelopment of industry and the lack of income from farming in the countryside, many rural people in their 50s and 60s who are in slightly better health choose to work in the city, doing the hardest and most tiring work on construction sites, in order to support their families, or to support their sons to buy a house in the county and settle down.
Those who can't go out can only guard their own acres and thirds of land and become left-behind elderly people.
A lock on the way out and a light on the way in have become their true portrayal.
According to the data of the 2020 Seven-Population Survey, the population living in the countryside is about 500 million people, accounting for 36.11 percent of the total.
And according to the China Rural Revitalization Comprehensive Survey and Research Report 2021, more than 20 percent of China's rural population is 60 years old and above.
So roughly speaking, there are also about 100 million people aged 60 and above in the countryside, and this part of the population becomes part of the people who should go to the county to buy a house, as called for by experts.
Cities are seeing a "retirement wave" while rural areas are still "suffering".
Compared with the towns are enthusiastically discussing "pension enough to spend", people in the countryside are concerned about this year's food prices? A catty of grain can not be sold on a few cents?
