As of March 2019, there are 1078 full-time faculty members, including 130 professors and 374 associate professors; 286 PhDs and 713 masters. Twelve of the full-time faculty members have been selected for the National (Ministry of Education) Talent Program and Honors.
The university has been honored by the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Education, the Central Committee of the Youth League and the All-China Federation of Students as an "advanced unit of social practice activities for college students" for many consecutive years, and the music and dance epic "Jinggang Mountain" and the "Red Legends of Jinggang Mountain" were honored by the Ministry of Education as the best campus culture construction in national colleges and universities. The music and dance epic "Jinggang Mountain" and the "Red Legend of Jinggang Mountain" were awarded second prize by the Ministry of Education for the excellent achievements in campus culture construction of national universities.
The student club "Love Society" was awarded "National Advanced Unit of Community Youth Volunteer Activity" and "National Advanced Collective of One Million Youth Volunteers Helping the Disabled".
