Disney's "Princess" cartoons are showing signs of resurgence, and confidently they're now starting to plan for more of them, with reports now suggesting that Disney is planning a CG-animated feature called Moana for a release in theaters in 2018.
"Moana" is reportedly being directed by John Musker and Ron Clement, the directors of "Aladdin" and "The Princess and the Frog" (The Princess and the Frog), and follows Moana Waialiki, the only daughter of a seafaring-loving tribal chief, who is born 2000 years ago on a small island in the South Pacific. Moana Waialiki) embarks on a sea adventure to save her family. The film will feature many elements of South Pacific island folklore and an anthropomorphic Hawaiian totem character.
While Moana is a computerized CG animated film, the graphics are hand-drawn in a style somewhat like Disney's animated short Paperman, but not quite the same, a new CG style. [4]
