How does Photoshop turn black background material into transparent background?

1, use Photoshop software to open the material of this example. A picture with the words "sample text".

2. When you open a picture, the picture defaults to the background layer. At this time, use the mouse to double-click the word "background" in the layer toolbar (generally at the lower right) and put the picture on the new layer.

3. After the above operations are completed, the original layer with the word "background" will be rewritten as "Layer 0" (the name just specified).

4. At this time, find the leftmost "wand" tool, and then find the "tolerance" input box in the corresponding wand property bar above to adjust the tolerance of the wand. The greater the tolerance, the greater the range for wand to choose similar colors.

5. At this time, press the Delete key on the keyboard to delete the selected area of the wand. By properly adjusting the tolerance attribute, the background area to be transparent can be selected more conveniently and effectively.

6. If the remaining wand tools are difficult to handle, you can directly use the rectangular selection tool or lasso tool in the toolbar to select them. After selection, press the Delete key to delete the selected area.

9. Remember to save the picture in PNG format or GIF format, not in JPG or BMP format. Otherwise, the hollowed-out background will be saved as white.
