"Excessive Harmony" and "Too Strong" in Tibetan Song and Dance

Guo Xie and Guo Zhuang are a kind of circle dance popular in three regions of Tibet. Generally, Lhasa, Shannan and Shigatse in the Yarlung Zangbo River valley call this round dance "fruit harmony"; In Changdu and Tibetan areas near Sichuan and Yunnan, it is called "Pot Village".

Guo Xie and Guo Zhuang are both group dances. When jumping, everyone is holding hands, holding hands, singing and dancing, stopping for the festival, singing in groups, and making the rhythm sound of "taking a break" and "music". People gathered around the bonfire, men and women lined up, singing and dancing, jumping from sunset to night and from midnight to dawn. People use singing and dancing to eliminate labor fatigue and express their feelings of loving their hometown and nature; Young men and women even pour out their love by singing and dancing.
