Sung by: Qi Feng

Lyrics: Ximurong

Composed and Arranged by Ulaantoga

Lyrics:

Father used to describe the fragrance of the grassland

The fragrance of the grassland is something that he could never forget at the end of the world

Mother used to love to describe the vastness of that river

Running on the Mongolian plateau, my distant hometown

Now I finally see this vast land

Standing on the fragrant grassland, I can see this vast land.

Running on the Mongolian plateau, my distant hometown

Now I finally see this vast land

Standing on the fragrant grassland, I was in tears

The river sings the blessing of ancestors

Blessing the wandering children to find their way back home

Oh, my father's grassland

It's a great place to live! Father's grassland

Ah! Mother's River

While I can't speak in my mother tongue

Please accept my sorrows and my joys

I'm also a child of the plateau

There's a song in my heart

In the song, there's a song about my father's grassland and my mother's river

Ah! Father's grassland

Ah! Mother's River

Though I can't speak in my mother tongue

Please accept my sorrows and my joys

I'm also a child of the plateau

There's a song in my heart

The song contains my father's prairie and mother's river

I'm also a child of the plateau

There's a song in my heart

The song contains my father's prairie and mother's river

I'm also a child of the plateau

The song includes my father's prairie and mother's river. My Father's Grassland Mother's River

Mother's River

Expanded Information

Father's Grassland Mother's River is a song sung by the famous Mongolian singer and king of the grasslands, Qi Feng, which is divided into a backing version and an oratorio version, and is included in the albums Qi Feng and I Have a Promise on the Grassland and Qi Feng and I Have a Promise on the Grassland, released in January 2003 and 2005 respectively.

Qi Feng's songs are divided into backing versions and oratorio versions.

Qi Feng was once invited by Taiwanese Mongolian poet Xi Murong to sing her song "Father's Grassland, Mother's River" at the China Millennium Forum in Beijing, and she was moved to tears as her lyrics depicted.

Xi Murong commented that Qi Feng's voice is too contagious, and can bring people into a realm as if they have walked into the grassland and returned to their own homes.
