Two Little Children ? French movie ? A classic

Synopsis

The movie begins at a construction site, where workers are demolishing an old building, and the camera wanders above the site, leading us to see an old candy box half-congealed in the foundation.

The voice of a young boy rings out, saying that back in their day, there was a children's game called "dare", in which when one child asked another "dare", the latter had to say "dare! The game was called "Dare or Not".

In the streets of France in the 1980s, the camera flew back, backed into a school bus behind the windshield, and then backed out of the bus, appearing outside the rear window, and then cut to the black place of a few books, and then pulled out, so that just now, we are in the bag inside the camera, and then pulled back, and then we saw a little girl's face, and then a rapid retreat, we see the little girl was surrounded by a gang of children. The camera then pulls back to see the face of a little girl.

Julian, a young boy, meets Sophie, a young girl in front of the school bus, who is a recent Polish immigrant and is bullied by all the kids. Julian says he likes Sophie, to which Sophie replies, "Then prove it to me, dare you?" Julian pushes the handbrake when the driver is not in the car, and the car goes down a slope with the driver in hot pursuit. Julien becomes friends with Sophie, but only at the cost of a brutal beating from his father. The two kids are in a never-ending game of "dare", they don't believe in rules and the world is a giant playground. They formed words in class and used profanity; sprayed their teachers with ink; urinated in the principal's office; and made the bride cry at her sister's wedding.......

Though their games were as much fun as they were often risky, the two were happy to play. Yet the two enjoyed themselves, a habit that didn't change until they were older; they dared anything but to admit they were in love.

Photos of Sophie and Julian as children

The days passed in a never-ending series of provocations, and before they knew it, it was four years later, and she came to his wedding to ask him if he dared to break off the marriage.

Ten years later, she called him and asked him if he dared to elope, and he immediately left his wife and children to go. When she arrived, it was another game of "dare me", as she made her house look like a robbery scene to see if he dared to leave a minute after she called the police, who she knew would only take a minute to arrive.

When the second hand completes its turn, Julian rushes out of the house and starts a chase with the police, but in his excitement, he gets into a car accident. When Sophie finds out, she rushes nervously to the hospital and is taken into a hospital room with a man lying on the bed who is covered in bruises and whose features are unreadable, but Sophie sees the box and she picks it up and leaves. In the car, she can't stop crying. The camera pans to the hospital, only to see Julian walking down the hallway, who is, in fact, not much hurt. He was lying on the hospital bed, the doctor was stitching up his wounds, he kept smiling, just like Sophie kept crying, "Sophie, Sophie, I'm sorry." Sophie probably thought of something, for example, why the box was placed on the instrument, lying on the bed "Julian" is not able to move, as for the doctor, will it. She knew it was Julian's revenge, and she rushed back. At that moment, Julien also rushed out of the hospital, they looked at each other in the rain, they understand that they like each other, but they do not dare to admit it. Sophie's husband gave Julian a heavy punch, Julian fainted, Sophie kept calling out to him, the rain stopped, Sophie that box to play games with him "Julian, come back, dare."

Julian woke up and they embraced each other, they played one last game, they climbed down into the cement foundation that needed to be injected into it, and as the cement fell, Julian said to Sophie "We've played so many games, but I've never said it to you before." "What" "Eating ants, insulting the politicians, and, well, loving you like a madman."

They gradually sank into the concrete and hugged each other forever.

So far, there are other moments after the movie, which many people may not have understood, and from my own understanding, the director's point should be that if this hadn't happened, if they had confessed their love for each other at that station, if they had confessed their love for each other at Sophie's home after her wedding, if they had confessed their love for each other at many previous opportunities, the two of them would have stayed together until they got old, and they could have been old enough to remember the Crazy things they've done in the past, and can say "I love you" when their hair turns gray.

Just wanted to say that this movie is one of my favorite romance movies.
