Since the reform and opening up, Taining County has adhered to the policy of pursuing two civilizations at the same time, closely focused on striving for a well-off society and building new villages, vigorously strengthened the construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas, and carried out extensive and in-depth activities to create civilized villages and towns and "stress civilization and establish new practices" , effectively promoted the construction of a new socialist countryside. However, from the perspective of the requirements for deepening rural reform and the socialist market economy, and from the perspective of the requirements for the coordinated development of the entire rural society, there are still some incompatibilities. In view of some problems existing in the construction of rural spiritual civilization, we must grasp the following aspects at present and in the future:
1. To strengthen the construction of rural spiritual civilization, we must stand on the coordinated development of economic, political and cultural construction. height, and constantly deepen ideological understanding. The coordinated development of economic, political and cultural construction is the essence of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. The construction of rural spiritual civilization is an important part of the goal of building a well-off society in rural areas. The process of building a well-off society is a process of simultaneous accumulation of material civilization and spiritual civilization. To strengthen the construction of rural spiritual civilization, we must start by strengthening the education of patriotism, socialism, and collectivism, and focus on improving the overall quality of farmers. The primary task of rural spiritual civilization construction is to comprehensively improve the quality of farmers and enable them to adapt to the needs of the construction of a socialist market economy. The fourth is to speed up the pace of funeral reform, speed up the construction of funeral parlors, convert rural burials into cremations, and reduce white pollution.
4. To strengthen the construction of rural spiritual civilization, we must implement the "three rural areas" activities of culture, science and technology, and health to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the farmers. The poor cultural life of farmers is closely related to the occurrence of a series of social problems in rural areas. Organize and carry out various forms of mass cultural life to meet the spiritual needs of farmers, which is conducive to rural economic development and rural social stability.
