From the elevation, the east and west are different, and the north and south are the same, while the yellow The Crane Tower is the same on all sides. Tengwang Pavilion was designed by Chen Xingwen, a senior architect of Jiangxi Light Industry Design Institute and a disciple of Professor Liang Sicheng.

The main scenery when entering Tengwang Pavilion is of course the beautiful scenery of Ganjiang River written by Tang Dynasty poet Wang Bo, which can be viewed layer by layer. Since ancient times, "Lou Yiwen Chuan" or "Lou Yiren Chuan". Among the three famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River, which one is famous for its poetry? Tengwang Pavilion is also famous all over the world because of Wang Bo's "Preface to Tengwang Pavilion". This story is worth telling. On the ninth day of September (Double Ninth Festival) in the second year of the Tang Dynasty (675), Yan Boyu, the governor of Hongzhou, held a banquet for guests in this pavilion. It was originally planned that his son-in-law would write the preface to the pavilion, in order to show off his literary talent to everyone. Coincidentally, Wang Boyan went to Jiaozhi (today's Hainan Province) to visit his father, passed through Hongzhou, and also attended Yan's banquet. Yan pretended to be polite and asked Wang Bo to write the preface, but this talented man of the time did not refuse and wrote the text in an instant. At first, Governor Yan was very unhappy and left the table with a sigh. When someone told him that there were good words to say, his worries turned into joy. Since the ancient quatrain "The falling clouds and solitary owls fly together, the autumn water and the long sky are the same color", the literary crowd was shocked, and Yan was overjoyed, so the "Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng" with its rich voice and emotion became a famous work handed down from generation to generation. Zhang, 3 floors, the pavilion is eight feet and six feet long from east to west. It is four feet and five feet wide from north to south, and there are two pavilions. The one in the south is called "Yajiang" and the one in the north is called "Gancui". Later, a "Ying'en Pavilion" was built as a place to receive imperial edicts and worship imperial gifts. There are poems, tablet rubbings, pictures, etc. in the pavilion. "Poetry of Prince Teng's Pavilion" written by Wang Bo "The high pavilion of Prince Teng is near the river, and the jade-wearing luan sings and dances. The painted buildings fly toward Nanpu clouds, and the bead curtain rolls in the rain from the west mountain at dusk. The shadows in the idle cloud pool are long, and things change and the stars move several autumns. The emperor's son in the pavilion Where is it now? Outside the threshold, the Yangtze River flows freely. "It also hangs high in the pavilion."

The scenery of Tengwang Pavilion is far better than before. There is an 1,800-meter-long green belt along the river from Nanpu Park to Tengwang Pavilion. There is a green sandbar on the west side of the pavilion, which is the "Jiangzhu" in the poem. Looking down at the Ganjiang River, the sparkling lake faces the Western Mountain across the bank. In the twilight, you can occasionally see a flying owl. This is the scene in the preface: "The setting clouds and the solitary owl fly together, the autumn water and the long sky are the same color." The original eight scenic spots in Hongzhou, such as "Nanpu Flying Clouds", "Zhangjiang Xiaodu", and "Longsha Sunset", are still there today. If you climb the pavilion at the turn of spring and summer and look into the distance, the Wulao Peak and Da Ri Mountain of Mount Lushan can be faintly seen.
