☆ Revealed an extraordinary talent for music at age 4.
★ One Hit Wonder at Eight
☆ One Flight at Ten
★ One Ride at Fourteen
☆ Singing at Sixteen
Declan Galbraith's talent for singing began to show at the age of four, and by the age of eight he had started to take part in a number of music competitions, winning sixteen prizes over a period of fourteen months. He also gained the admiration of lyricist Barry Mason (who wrote Last Waltz - The Last Waltz) and never looked back. The song we hear here, "Walking In The Air," was recorded in 2001 when he was 9 years old. Rumor has it that several record companies were vying to sign him, and in the end EMI signed him for 3 years with a commitment of 3 albums for a whopping sum of over a million pounds.
It is believed that the young boy's musical talent and love of traditional Irish music came from his grandfather Ben, who looked after him for only six weeks or so, and who used to bring him along when he played the six-hole flute and Irish drums in pubs, and Declan grew up with that. His grandfather died in 1996, but Declan couldn't forget him, and his first album, Declan, was dedicated to him.
Declan's voice is clear and distinctive, and he sings a wide range of songs. He sings a wide range of songs, from popular favorites like "Angels" to traditional Irish songs like "Carrickfergus," and he's got a good handle on them all. The young star's wish is to one day stop covering other people's songs and have a few "Declan Galbraith" songs.
In addition to his angelic voice, Declan already has what scouts call "star quality" at a young age -- a head of floppy dark hair, thick eyelashes, bright, clear blue eyes, an infectious smile, and a lot of confidence. He is full of childlike innocence and contagious smile, and full of confidence. What's more, he never had stage fright and was very excited every time he went on stage. I should mention that he was nervous once, when he sang for the Queen at St. Paul's Cathedral. John Carver, who has produced MTV for Robbie Williams and Phil Collins, says with great confidence, "Declan is destined to be a superstar, not only because of his superb voice, but also because of his terrific personality, and he's very clever."
Besides his musical talent and the million-dollar contract behind him, Declan is no different from any other boy. Loves soccer, computer games and swimming, has posters all over his room and likes Robbie Williams, Westlife and Harry Potter. He used to struggle with signing autographs quickly enough, until he followed his father's advice and signed with a "Dec". He's also been known to try to escape from his stool during interviews, politely asking "Can I go play soccer soon?" Another time Declan said in an interview that he had a dream about Alton. Johnson invited him to an Alton concert, and the host asked him if he would accept the invitation if it came true. Declan said, "I think so, otherwise he'd probably cry, and then I'd end up saying, 'Don't panic. I'll be there'."
Declan is involved in promoting the album while going to school. He has a dedicated tutor to make sure he doesn't miss school; he has a dedicated stylist, as well as a dedicated vocal tutor and a dedicated manager, with his own dedicated fan network ...... That does seem to be a bit of an exuberant crowd for a young boy with dinosaurs on his bedside and thoughts of remote-control cars. As a result, he doesn't have many friends, except for his cousin Joe.
The British press is not usually too kind to children who enjoy premature fame. When Declan released his first album in 2002, the press predicted that he would be a drug addict or an alcoholic by the time he was 16, and that his parents would most likely be divorced before then, but Declan's parents, who are confident that they won't be aggressive parents, say they will simply support Declan in doing what he likes. Of course, they also expressed their concern that it is indeed not too good for a child so young to have gained financial security without having to worry about installments like the average person.
In fact, Declan is already the sole breadwinner for the family of 4 (parents and sister). His mother has left her job since the baby was born, and his father, an electrician, has quit to accompany Declan throughout the process. "I don't really get that much," Declan says of the million-dollar contract that many adult singers envy. "A million dollars is all the company has promised to put into me. But I don't care, I just love to sing." In a confessional, Declan also says that what he wants most is to be able to take care of his family and for his parents to never have to go to work again. If he had money, he'd buy his dad a new car, if there was any left over, he'd buy himself some soccer balls and player cards, and if there was more, he'd put it in the bank. It's enough to see that he's a very sweet and simple kid.
After four years of busy performances, DEC moved from EMI to sign with Saban Entertainment, a well-known American entertainment company, in 2006, and released the album "Thank You" that year. Warner specially hired a German producer, and all the production would be done in Germany, and this time the production lineup was even stronger. It's been quite a test for DEC, but in a recent TV interview, the 14-year-old said, "No, what we should be doing is how to find a way to cope with it, not feeling sorry for ourselves!"
Already releasing his third solo album, "You and Me," and already touring China, DEC's wish is for all the children in the world to be free from hunger, fear and sickness. Personally, he doesn't really have a big dream yet, but he wants to be able to do well in everything he has to do and help take care of his family. Declan, who was predicted by the media to be a drug addict or alcoholic by the time he was 16, now has what scouts call "star quality" in addition to his angelic voice, and more importantly, a simple, kind heart. Let's continue to love and support Declan!

1, "DECLAN" album introduction:
In the history of American hit music, there have been a number of loud and clear voice to the rise of impressive teenage singers, such as
Michael Jackson (Michael Jackson) in the 70s, Donny Osmond, and Billy Gilman, who became the youngest singer to win the Guinness Book of Records in 2000. In Europe, there have also been a number of equally outstanding teenage singers, most notably Heintje in the 60s and Aled Jones in the 80s. In fact, in 2002, just as Billy Gilman was taking the world by storm, there was another teenage singing sensation in the UK, Declan Galbraith (hereafter referred to as DEC), who was even younger than Billy Gilman at the time, at the age of just 10, and not only did his debut album "Declan" become a sensation in Europe, but also set another "Guinness World Record". He also set another Guinness World Record: when he was on tour in Belfast, the organizers linked up more than 80,000 children in every corner of the UK and Ireland to sing along with him via telephone and the internet, making it the world's largest chorus ever.
DEC, who has been hailed by the British media as a "once-in-a-lifetime singing prodigy," was born on Dec. 19, 1991, in a small village in Kent, England, to a father from Scotland and a mother from Ireland. His father is from Scotland and his mother is from Ireland. He grew up with his grandfather, who performed traditional Irish music in a tavern, and showed his amazing talent at an early age, when he was only about two years old, he began to enjoy singing, and he sang with style. At the age of eight, he began to participate in local talent contests, and in a period of only fourteen months, he won sixteen championships, and also attracted a high degree of interest from the recording industry, and it did not take long for him to get a record contract. The first record he participated in was a compilation of Christmas songs featuring hits by superstars such as Elvis Presley, Elton John and Westlife, and his cover of the cartoon Snowman theme song "Walking in the Air", which was no worse than those of the "old-timers", attracted a great deal of attention and was covered by major media outlets. The song attracted a lot of attention and was covered by all the major media and appeared on almost all TV and radio programs, making him a household name in the UK and Ireland. When asked by the host of the program what he liked on a regular basis, his answer was almost shocking because, apart from soccer, swimming and video games, his favorite music included "Led Zeppelin" and "Black Sabbath"! It's no wonder, then, that at such a young age, his repertoire of styles and songs is so broad that it's beyond his years.
The record company offered him a million pounds to secure a DEC deal, making him the sole breadwinner for his family of four. His father, a former laborer, quit his job to accompany him around the country. He once sang "Amazing Grace" with the choir of St. Paul's Church at the Queen's Gala Concert, and was invited to perform in front of a large audience at the Elton Strong concert, an unforgettable experience. Although he is only ten years old, he already has a lot of expectations for the future. He doesn't want to sing other people's songs all the time, and hopes to have his own works. On October 29th, 2002, DEC's debut album "Declan" was released and became an instant sensation, with many European countries, including Germany and the UK and Ireland, flocking to DEC's album. DEC's debut album "Declan" was released on October 29th, 2002 and became an instant sensation. He showed great skill and even "led" a large adult choir in the gospel song "Amazing Grace" in the album in a cappella style, which was very moving.
On this album, DEC Chief **** sings fourteen songs, including original compositions, covers of popular classics, and traditional folk songs, all of which, of course, he brings a fresh interpretation to. The album begins with him singing the popular Irish hits "Danny Boy" and "Carrickfergus", a childish but booming voice that is very pleasing to the ears and makes us realize that he is an Irish boy. He then sang John Lennon's immortal classic "Imagine", which was a touching expression of his wish for world peace. It also reminded us that Billy Gilman, who debuted a little earlier than him, also shared the same qualities. They both sang with angelic voices about the flexibility of children's aspirations for a better world, which is far more endearing than some of the teenagers who take to the streets with their foul mouths. And as we listened to DEC, we couldn't help but be reminded of Michael Jackson more than three decades ago, and sure enough, he followed it up with the irresistible classic "I'll Be There," a song that won him so much love back in the day.
If we take a closer look at the teenage singers who have won the hearts of the public from the past to the present, we will find that apart from 'world peace', 'friendship' and 'love' are also their ****themes. DEC's album has the same appeal. The original compositions "It All Begins With Love" and "Your Friend" echo such themes through their poppier arrangements, with the former being softer and the latter having a more upbeat tempo, providing a comfortable change of pace. He then sang "Love Can Build a Bridge," a song from The Judds' last album before they split up. The song, written by country singer-songwriter Paul Overstreet and Naomi Judd, the mother of The Judds, vividly demonstrates that love can build bridges between people.
Followed by 'Mama Said' and 'Till the Day We Meet Again', both original compositions and arguably more relevant to 'children', DEC's vocals had the right effect. After a clean rendition of "Amazing Grace", he brought out "Circles in the Sand", which was also quite pleasing to the ears with its pop-inspired arrangement. Next, we hear Robbie Williams and his former songwriting partner, Guy Chambers***, compose the famous song "Angels". Although the lyrics are a bit "overage", DEC brings a different feeling to the song with his loud and wide range. It's said that even Simon Cowell, who heard him sing, couldn't help but agree that this little guy has all the potential to become a superstar in time, and judging from his current track record, he was absolutely right.
Toward the end of the album, DEC sang another hit original, "Tell Me Why," set to a large choir, which questioned many of the phenomena in the world: why is it possible to turn a blind eye to the many who need help? What does he have to do to become a man? Does he have to fight to prove what kind of man he is? Must his life be wasted in a world of war? Can anyone tell him why? We have to admit that such content is again rather 'overage' for a ten year old boy, but we cannot deny that his singing skills are indeed impeccable, making us think and reflect after listening. He ended the set with a remixed version of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", which left a lasting impression on the audience.
2, "THANK YOU" Album Description:
The pure voice of teenage singers is always able to attract a lot of fans who are tired of ordinary pop songs. 2002, Declan Galbraith (hereinafter referred to as DEC), a ten-year-old boy from the United Kingdom, made a splash in Europe with his debut album "Declan", which was praised as a "lifelong favorite" by the British media. The British media has labeled him as a "once-in-a-lifetime singing sensation", and even Simon Cowell of the Pop Idol series has heard him sing and agreed that he has the potential to become a superstar in time. With his popularity, the record company should have struck while the iron was hot and continued to release more albums while his voice had not yet changed, but for some reason, although he continued to sing in public in various European countries over the past few years, there was no sign of his new album, and it wasn't until four years later that his second album, "Thank You," was released by another record company, which chose to release it on a different label. It was not until four years later that his second album 'Thank You' was released, on a different label and in Germany, leaving fans in other parts of the world almost desperate for more. And even though so far there doesn't seem to be any further action from the German label, at least the new album has been well received in Germany, hitting the top five of the German album charts.
DEC, who released their second album on the eve of turning 15, have standard Gültter roots, with a father from Scotland and a mother from Ireland. Growing up with his grandfather, who was a member of a traditional Irish folk band, he not only fell in love with music, but also displayed an amazing talent. In his hometown, a two-day "Dickens Celebration" is held once a year, where everyone dresses up in Victorian costumes and pays homage to the great Dickens in various ways, and when DEC was seven years old, he insisted on participating in the festival himself, and when he started to sing, dressed up as a little chimney sweep, everyone cheered him on. Soon after, he began to participate in talent contests, winning sixteen championships in just fourteen months, and attracting a high level of interest from the recording industry, which didn't take long to secure him a record deal. The first record he participated in was a compilation of Christmas songs, which included hits by superstars such as Elvis Presley, Elton John and Westlife, and his cover of the theme song of the cartoon Snowman, "Walking in the Air", was a huge hit, attracting a lot of attention from the old-timers. His cover of the Snowman theme song 'Walking in the Air', which was not to be confused with the 'old-timers', attracted a great deal of attention and was covered by all the major media outlets, appearing on virtually every TV and radio program, and becoming a household name in the UK and Ireland. In order to secure a contract with the DEC, the record company offered him a million pounds, making him the sole breadwinner for his family of four. His father, a former laborer, quit his job to accompany him around the world, giving him the proper coverage so he wouldn't get lost in the fame and fortune.
Folks familiar with the cultures of the United Kingdom and the United States may have noticed that the attitudes of the music industry towards teenage singers in these two countries are quite different. Basically, the British tend to play up the innocence of those teenagers and arrange the tracks they sing in a more elegant style, while the American side seems to be much more commercial, letting some of the teenage singers get closer to the general 'secular' pop music. From DEC's first album, we can see that he combines the British and American routes, with traditional ballads and some tracks closer to 'children', but also including many covers of pop hits, and judging from the pop classics he has chosen and claimed to be his favorite, it is clear that he is very much in favor of some 'over-age' content, as the mood of those songs, no matter whether it is an exploration of love or a The mood of those songs, whether it's an exploration of love or a look at life, should be sung by someone who's at least a little bit more mature. Nevertheless, his interpretation of these songs is still quite good, bringing a breath of fresh air, which can be said to be very different from other contemporary teenage singers in the spotlight. Therefore, when the original record company did not make any further moves, a media mogul decided to pick him up as a weapon for the new record label "Starwatch" to enter the market, and chose Germany as the first place to launch it. chose to be the first to launch in Germany.
Many male teenagers go through an awkward vocal change at the age of 14 or 15, but DEC was only 14 when he started recording this album, and was lucky enough not to have begun to change his voice yet, maintaining his original soprano voice. Of course, after a few years in the showbiz industry, we still find that his vocal technique and style are not quite the same as four years ago, with a stronger "pop" feel. The track selection continues the same pattern as last time. The album opens with "An Angel", a popular song by The Kelly Family, a family group that rose to prominence in the 70's and is particularly popular in European countries. It's a moving piece that suits the innocent teenage singer very well, and DEC's performance is very good indeed. Then came the 'overage' songs, with classics such as Queen's 'Love of My Life' and the Moody Blues' 'Nights in White Satin', which, when sung in his young, vibrato voice, might have made some conservative people a little bit When he sang these songs with a young, vibrato voice, some of the more conservative people might have been a bit put off. Luckily, his performance was moderate. Then we heard Eric Clapton's tribute to his beloved son, the classic "Tears in Heaven," in a brand new arrangement, with a particularly stirring guitar and harmony section that was a joy to behold.
After a string of three more popular tracks, DEC changed gears with "Bright Eyes," a song from the 1978 British cartoon "Watership Down" that many teenage singers would hardly have missed, though the content of the cartoon wasn't exactly kid-friendly. Next, DEC went "overage" again with the folk classic "House of the Rising Sun", which describes a prodigal son's lament about his future being cut short in a New Orleans sex club. Luckily, the producer cleverly changed the lyrics to a teenage boy recounting what happened to his father, which made it less controversial, and DEC's performance showed that he has been a fan of old rock classics for many years, and that he is indeed a fan of old rock classics. DEC's performance also shows that his love of old rock classics over the years has given him a lot of vocal chops. "Saved by the Bell" is an early Bee Gees classic, and DEC is obviously quite partial to the Bee Gees, as he follows it up with another early Bee Gees tune, "Only One Woman", which is, of course, a matter of opinion as to whether or not it is appropriate for his age. Also favored by the DEC is the 'Kelly Family' choir. Formed by a husband and wife with a dozen sons and daughters, the group has always been a hit with young and old alike, and DEC covered their hit song, "David's Song", also known as "Who'll Come with Me". With a background that also includes the Gulls, his vocals are quite pleasing to the ears.
After just a few moments of "innocence", DEC immediately went over the top again with a cover of Air Supply's signature love song "All Out of Love", and we couldn't help but wonder if there would be any difference in his reinterpretation of such a song one day when he's grown up and actually experienced a breakup. Next, he brought R&B singer Toni Braxton and Babyface to collaborate on "How Could an Angel Break My Heart", which was a noteworthy performance, even though his vocals were still full of childishness. Of course, if there's a fault to be found, it's that he's a bit "gender-bending" in his singing. He changed the third person in the lyrics to suit his "male" identity, but perhaps because he's used to Toni Braxton's original vocals, he often forgets to correct the part that should be corrected, and instead narrates it from a female's point of view, which is a bit unfortunate, but it's still flawless, so I'd say this is the best of the album. It's even one of the best performances on the album.
The album contains fifteen songs in total, with Don McLean's classic tribute to Van Gogh, "Vincent," the theme song from the '90s movie The Last Unicorn, "The Last Unicorn," which was once sung by an Americana duo, and Los Angeles' "The Last Unicorn," which was once sung by an Americana duo. Unicorn", and Rod Stewart's early lyrical classic "Sailing", etc., ending with "Where Did Our Love Go" by Diana Ross & the Supremes. On the whole, it's still quite pleasant to listen to. DEC is now 15 years old, so the awkwardness of a voice change should begin soon, but we're sure DEC will be able to bring us more and more after the change, so let's look forward to it!

Beijing Concert
On May 24, 2008 at 7:30pm, Declan, the British musical prodigy, performed his first solo concert in China at the Beijing Exhibition Center. During the nearly two-hour concert, Declan sang songs such as "Tell Me Why", "Vincent", "More Than I Can Say", "I'd Love You to Want Me", etc., and won countless applauses and cheers from the audience.
The audience was mostly college students and children
The audience of Declan's concert was mostly college students and children. Before the show started, private cars were parked outside the Beizhan Theater, and many parents "dragged their families" with their children to come to listen to Declan's concert, so that their babies could see the idol style and enjoy a feast of audiovisual. These children are not only the concert audience, many of them also acted as the role of family photographer, have taken pictures with the camera in a decent manner. There are also many students like fans, self-organized, in the performance of the scene to distribute glow sticks and printed slogans of the leaflets.
The concert was a screaming encore
When the song "More Than I Can Say" (爱你在心口难开), which is familiar to the Chinese audience, was played, it set off a small climax, and Declan called for waving his arms and high-fives, and the audience communicated with him in English. The audience had no trouble communicating with him in English. When Declan said, "This is the last song," the crowd was clearly surprised, and the encore was heard over and over again. After the return song, people were still waiting to leave, chanting "encore", and the atmosphere in the room was at its peak.
When "angel" becomes "mortal", may Declan go further
Declan began his career at the age of eight, and by the age of ten, he was all over Europe, known for his high pitched, booming, unadorned, perfect voice. The singer's voice has always been loved for its high, booming, unadorned perfection. Now, at the age of seventeen, Declan has had to face the problem of changing his voice. In concerts, although the repertoire is still his classic, but it is difficult to find the clarity and purity in his voice. When the "angel" landed on earth into the "mortal", the listener can only be in the familiar melody to hang on to the feelings of the past. I heard many audience members coming out from the scene, still lamenting that the voice of the former angel is no longer there, although this is the law of nature that can't be violated, but still have some regrets. I don't know if Declan's musical journey will get better and better after his transformation from naive to handsome.
Shenzhen Concert
On May 26th and 27th, a show titled "Angel's Voice - Declan's Shenzhen Concert" will be staged at Shenzhen Poly Theater. It is reported that the show will open the curtain of Shenzhen Mobile's "GSM Love Action". Shenzhen Poly Theater in conjunction with Shenzhen Mobile will be more than 800 Global Crossing customers through the text message mode of points offered more than 300,000 yuan of love money donated to the earthquake-stricken areas of Sichuan, for the reconstruction of the disaster area to do their part.
It is reported that this China tour, Declan himself attaches considerable importance. There are 13 participants in the tour***, including two German girls who do harmonies and backing vocals for Declan, as well as keyboardists, guitarists, bassists, violinists and so on. Declan's albums and performances are produced by a German company, and these two beautiful blonde-haired, blue-eyed German girls have worked with Declan on many performances, and they work well together. This time, these two German girls will sing together on stage more than twenty highlights of Declan's famous songs, including "Tell Me Why", "Angel" and "I Can't Tell You That Much".
Dickland herself, her father and her manager came to Beijing and Shanghai last October for a visit. Due to the favorable impression of China last year, Declan's parents, his sister and his manager's wife asked to visit China to see the "magical China" in their impression. It is reported that Declan extraordinarily fond of Chinese Tang suit want to tour in China "play" a Chinese style of Declan, it is possible that will be in today and tomorrow night is the show wearing Tang suit to sing a number of tracks. It is reported that Shenzhen is "the voice of angels - Declan concert" in China tour of the second station. It is also the only one of the three touring cities to hold two concerts.
