Brief introduction of Wuzhen in Zhaxi

Wuzhen is located at the northern end of Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province. Together with Zhouzhuang, Tongli, Luzhi, Xitang and Nanxun, it is also called "the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River". It is 0/3km away from Tongxiang City/KLOC-0, connecting Huzhou City in the west and Wujiang District in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province in the north, which is the junction of two provinces and three cities. Since 2003, the second phase of Wuzhen Ancient Town Protection Project (Zhaxi Scenic Area), a provincial key project, has been started, with a huge investment of one billion yuan to protect and develop Wuzhen Zhaxi. The scope of the protection project is nearly 3.4 square kilometers, which is more than three times that of Dongzha Scenic Area.

The second phase of Zhaxi block adheres to the concept of "protecting and utilizing historical buildings and reshaping the functions of historical blocks". Compared with the first protection and development project, the second phase of Zhaxi Scenic Area is more complete and thorough, and people are more harmonious with the environment, nature and architecture. Zhaxi Scenic Area covers an area of 3.4 square kilometers and criss-crosses.

There are 72 ancient bridges with a beautiful environment of more than 9,000 meters. The density of rivers and the number of stone bridges are the highest in ancient towns in China. There are 250,000 square meters of exquisite Ming and Qing architecture in the scenic area. The length of Zhaxi Old Street across the scenic spot is 1.8 km, and the waterfront pavilions on both sides of the river extend over 1.8 km. The northern part of the scenic spot is a natural wetland of more than 50,000 square meters. Different from the "sightseeing" scenic spot of the first phase project, the second phase is a rare "scenery" in China.

The ancient town scenic spot with "light leisure experience" perfectly combines the functions of sightseeing and vacation. No matter which bridge you stand by, you can see another bridge at the mouth of the bridge, so it is called "bridge among bridges". "Li Qiao Bridge" is the most beautiful ancient bridge scenery in Wuzhen, and it can be called a unique bridge scenery.

Tashi has many "old foundations"-several kilometers of old streets, Qingshi Road, and half of the houses are on the water. There are several handmade things to look at: first, the handmade sauce workshop, where the pot-stewed vegetables in the town taste good, largely because of the soy sauce produced and sold by ourselves. The price is not cheap, a bottle of ordinary soy sauce 25 yuan; The second type is a raw iron pan, which is cast by hand. 99 yuan's iron pots are said to be the most popular; The third is silk. Yida Temple was founded in the early years of Guangxu, and visitors can operate it on the old silk reeling machine.

When night falls, drinking a little wine, watching singing on the balcony on the other side, or putting a few lotus lanterns by the water will be fascinating.
