Airport Construction
Since its opening in 1992, Nanyang Jiangying Airport has made great contributions to Nanyang's economic development as an air transportation infrastructure and an open window to the outside world. As a Beijing-Guangzhou line backup airport and domestic training airport, it undertakes a large number of backup and training tasks, while Nanyang Jiangying Airport is small in scale and simple in facilities. Nanyang Jiangying Airport is one of the only three civil transportation airports in Henan Province, and is also the flight training airport of China Southern Airlines. China Southern Airlines Nanyang Flight Training Base is also striving to complete the three-phase expansion project in three to five years, and ultimately build the base into a first-class domestic flight training center with international standards.
