Brief introduction of Shushan village

Shushan Village is located in the west of Suzhou High-tech Zone, Jiangsu Province, at the northern foot of Dayang Mountain and adjacent to Tongan Town in the north. The whole village is surrounded by Yangshan Mountain and Jilong Mountain. The village is beautiful and the vegetation on the mountain is well protected. This village covers 5.2 square kilometers. There are three mountains, four docks and five bangs in the village, namely Nanyang Mountain, Jilong Mountain and Shushan Mountain, as well as Dashiwu, Gejiawu, Tangjiawu and Bailuwu. The village is rich in natural resources, rich in historical and cultural heritage, and rich in cultural relics, especially the strange peaks, strange rocks, grottoes and stone carvings of Dashi Mountain, which are full of green eyes and are a natural scenic spot. The ancients divided Dashi Mountain into eight scenic spots, namely: Zhutai, Zhaoyin Bridge, Yiwanping, Chen Yu River, Qingsonggang, Kuanyun Pavilion and Baishixuan. There is Wang Duo, the minister of rites in the late Ming Dynasty. In particular, the stone carving of "only harmony is joy" coincides with the content of building a harmonious society and is deeply appreciated by everyone. According to the "Twenty Principles of Building a New Socialist Countryside" of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee, Shushan Village was listed as a pilot village and a demonstration village in the High-tech Zone and Suzhou for building a new socialist countryside. At the town and village levels, we should start with environmental improvement, seize the favorable conditions of good landscape environment in Shushan, and establish a new concept of building a new socialist countryside. First, we should vigorously strengthen environmental construction and improve the appearance of villages in accordance with the principles of "development of production, affluent life, civilized rural customs, clean village appearance and democratic management". The main roads in the village have been completely hardened, tap water has been supplied to households, rivers, homes and fields have been comprehensively cleaned up and rectified, and the village appearance has been purified and beautified. Second, give play to regional advantages, serve the masses to get rich, give play to the advantages of mountain villages, and vigorously adjust the agricultural industrial structure. A thousand acres of pear orchards have been planted, Myrica rubra and tea trees have been expanded, and a tea-fruit professional cooperative has been established in the village to provide all-round services for the planting, management, production, processing and sales of folk fruits and tea trees, and to build a green food production base for forest fruit tea, which has continuously improved the popularity of fruit tea, expanded the market and increased the income of the people. The third is to set up a joint venture company. Suzhou Xinhao Agricultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. is established with the investment of 50 million yuan from Tongan Town, Shushan Village and Suzhou High-tech Group. Guided by the market-oriented operation mode and planning, the natural beauty, pastoral beauty, humanistic beauty and harmonious beauty of trees and mountains are integrated into the planning concept of real mountains and rivers, and various functional orientations, main roads and mountain wooden pallet are scientifically formulated. Commercial Street and Shushan Club are under construction, which accelerates the construction of Shushan Ecological Village, takes leisure, sightseeing and eco-tourism as the development direction, and explores a new model of building a new socialist countryside.
