Song lyrics
From the grassland to Tiananmen Square
Raise the golden cup high and sing praises
Fragrant wine and blooming flowers
Songs fly out of my chest
The heroic motherland stands in the east
Like the rising sun shining brightly
Brothers of all ethnic groups gather together< /p>
Praise for China's rise and hope
Song Appreciation
"Hymn" combines Mongolian long and short tunes to create new words, and then sets it to a new song. The combination of lyrics and music is perfect. The rhythm is free and distinct, and the melody is lyrical. Hu Songhua's singing style is bold and affectionate, and his exquisite long-note vibrato technique is endlessly memorable.
Hu Songhua’s singing is based on Mongolian long tunes and scientifically draws on Western vocal methods. With deep breath, full enthusiasm and metallic luster, it conveys the heroic passion of the Mongolian people to the audience.
