First, basic sports in India are backward.
Why is there a reason for the backwardness of basic sports?
The primary reason must lie in people's physical concept. People have no concept of physical quality. They think that it is better to turn physical strength into labor to gain more benefits, which leads to people's constant rejection of sports concepts, further leading to insufficient attention to athletes who take sports as their profession, and even thinks that ordinary training is meaningless in society. As long as India has a good face, how can it paralyze itself when it sees that its medal count is pitiful?
Secondly, people's lack of sports concept is, in the final analysis, due to the guidance and publicity of the government, which is different from what our country has been advocating? National fitness? The difference is that the Indian government takes economy and military affairs as its top priority, and naturally ignores the seemingly unimportant cause of sports. India is still far behind in places, equipment, personnel selection, infrastructure and many other aspects, and there is still a long way to go in the future.
Second, the national environment does not allow it.
In India, there are still quite a few people who don't have enough to eat, and there are still quite a few areas without electric lights at night.
How can we talk about exercise and fitness when so many people don't even have enough to eat? Even the initial food and clothing can't be provided, let alone the supplement of protein needed for exercise and fitness. At night in China, you can see groups of grandmothers dancing in squares and parks, and there are all kinds of training equipment for people to carry out various activities. However, in India, quite a few areas have no electricity and no lights at night.
A country that doesn't even have toilets in place, let alone sports facilities and various sports venues. Even if someone wants to exercise, it may be difficult to find a place.
In addition, India is located in a hot and humid area, and it will be stuffy indoors, which is not suitable for sports. Many factors have limited its development.
The third is the backwardness of cultural concepts.
Religion is very common in India. As the highest caste, Brahmins take vegetarianism and despise manual labor as their way of life. The only person who is likely to get enough nutrition gives up exercise and fitness because of religion. Indians also regard yoga as exercise and fitness, and it is difficult to keep up with the Olympic events.
Many factors lead to India's lack of energy to develop sports. If we begin to pay attention to it one day, it will be a huge undertaking and we will not see any results in the short term.
