Because this stone on Huangniu Mountain is already very high, and the river is winding, even if you walk on the road for two nights, you can still see this thing, so you have this ballad.
This article is called "Huangniutan", which comes from the Notes on Water Classics by Li Daoyuan, a geographer in the Northern Wei Dynasty.
Extended data:
The origin of Huangniutan
There is a section of river to the east of Huangniuxia, and the rocks are scattered and uneven. In the meantime, the river is like a zigzag ileum, bubbles swirl like boiling water, and the water flow is dangerous, so it is called Huangniutan. The old proverb says, "It's too late to chop and change. It doesn't feel like silk. " It means starting from Huangniushan in the morning and staying at Huangniutan in the evening. Walk slowly for three days and nights. After three days, my hair turned white before I knew it.
Cattle originated from the myth of water control in Yu Xia. According to legend, when the Jade Emperor was born, Yu Xia came to the world to control floods and sent gods to help him. When he led people to dig the present Huangniuxia stone, a god turned into a god cow to help. A huge, majestic bull pranced around the sunset and angrily touched the mountain with its horn. Suddenly, the landslide and stone crack, with a thunder, jumped off the rock and left the image among the stone walls.
