Biography
Shadow, a native of Shanghai, graduated from Shanghai International Studies University. After graduating from Shanghai International Studies University, she studied in the United States. She studied drama and musical theater performance at the University of California, Park Lane and the Chicago Academy of Performing Arts and obtained her master's degree; she has participated in Chicago's Schubert Theatre, Steffenwolf Theatre, and Second City Comedy. After returning to China in 2004, she collaborated with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra to hold a series of jazz and musical theater concerts at the Shanghai Grand Theatre; she played the lead role in the song and dance drama "Challenge 3 to 3" at the Shanghai Children's Art Theatre; her album "Shadow Sings Selections from Broadway Musical Classics" was published as the first musical theater singing album in China; and she successfully held "Song of the Night - Broadway Musical Classics by Shadow" at the Shanghai Yihai Theatre. First of all, the record "Right Hand Years, Left Hand Flowers" is for a Shanghai-themed musical I'm working on. The city and the people in the city, the years and the years between, the fate and the love and hate in the fate, the desires and the struggles under the desires, these are the themes of the musical I love. I dreamed of having a musical that encompassed all of these elements, a musical of my own. I have been dreaming of this for a long time, and was destined to fulfill this creative mission the moment I stepped onto the stage as a child, for which I paid the price of growing up, but reaped the fruits of my dream. Weber, the master of musical theater, once said, "All successful musicals are the result of re-creation". The story I am going to tell with music may not be a household anecdote, but it will certainly stir up the senses, float with the truth of human nature, and diffuse the romance of imagination. So this is her story, my story and your story. Of course, music is always the soul of a musical, "right hand years, left hand flowers", for me, the only thing that can override the "years" and "flowers" is probably music! For me, music is the only thing that can override both "years" and "flowers". It is neither held in the left hand nor escaped in the right hand ...... Because it is hidden in the bottom of the heart.

One afternoon in the early spring of last year, the director came to my musical theater studio in 798 for a chat. He was talking about the TV drama "Pear Blossom in the Rain" (then called "Singing Girls Under the Iron Hoof") that he was planning to make, and how he was looking for a new idea for the drama as there were already too many movies about old Shanghai. At that time, I was preparing the music for a Shanghai-themed musical, and I already had three or four good songs on hand. I sang them to him, and the director was so impressed that he decided on the spot that I would produce and sing the songs for The Pear Blossom in the Rainstorm. From that moment on, "Pear Blossom in a Rainstorm" realized her "magnificent transformation" and became a distinctive Shanghai opera, because she found her clue, her vein, her soul - a thing called "music". The music" is something called "music". In the late fall, "Pear Blossom in a Rainstorm" was broadcast, and the news from all over the world made the director and I feel that all our efforts for her were not in vain. For example, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's "The Unexpected Song" actually expresses the same feelings about unpredictable life, love, and dreams: "I never knew it would happen, I couldn't believe my eyes ------.
