Do you have to treat yourself on your birthday?

Birthday is just a day, for sure. As for whether to treat or not, it can depend on the economy, mood and environment;

Usually, if you're at home, even if you don't say so yourself, your parents will cook you a few delicious dishes regardless of whether you want to treat or not, and that would be considered a birthday.

If you go to school or work abroad, it depends on your own mood and environment. If you don't want to treat yourself, it's best not to tell your friends around you what day you're having a birthday until it's too late. If your friends know, then express the idea of not having a birthday before the birthday. Or, on the day of the birthday, express gratitude to the friend who gave the gift, the heart received and so on, put off the birthday gift from the friend, just give say not to celebrate the birthday. But if the gift is received, then at least should be invited to dinner with the person who gave the gift, it is a matter of human courtesy.

Then, go eat something you want to eat by yourself, or watch a movie, or go to a square dance or something, and give yourself a birthday, that's pretty good. Of course, you could also take the initiative to call your parents back and have a chat. Everyone has their own way of doing things, and it's good that you like it.

If, like in some places, you don't treat yourself to a birthday party, you'll be gossiped about, then this environment is actually a much better way to see who your friends are that you should cherish
