Lyrics: Qiao Yu
Composer: Wang Ming
Never forget tonight, never forget tonight.
No matter the ends of the earth or the ends of the earth, China and Wan Li are in the same embrace.
* * * Wish the motherland good, the motherland good.
* * * Bless the motherland.
* * * Bless the motherland.
Say goodbye to this night, say goodbye to this night.
New friends or old friends, please invite them again next spring.
Green hills are there, and people are not old.
* * * Bless the motherland.

Creation background: 1984, Huang Yihe, the general director of CCTV Spring Festival Gala, felt that there was a lack of a song that matched the whole program, so Huang Yihe found the lyricist Qiao Yu, hoping that he could write lyrics for the finale of the Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Pig, covering family reunion, motherland reunion, relatives' affection and hope for the future.
Qiao Yu fully embodies Huang Yihe's theme in his lyrics. After the lyrics were finished, Huang Yihe asked the composer Wang Ming to compose. There is controversy within the director group about this incomplete song. Some people say that this song is not well written, as soft as a funeral, but Huang Yihe, as the general director, was not influenced by this sound, and Li Guyi insisted on recording this song. This is "unforgettable tonight".
