Main content

"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" tells the story of Alice, a young girl who chases a talking white rabbit with a pocket watch, falls into a rabbit hole, and thus plunges into a magical underground world. In this world, a sip of water shrinks you to the size of a mouse, a piece of cake turns you into a giant, and everything you eat in this world seems to be weird. She also meets a whole host of people and animals: the Dodo, Bill the Lizard, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Sleeping Mouse, the Vegetarian Snapper, the Eagle-Lion, and the Ugly Duchess. There's more down the rabbit hole, as she encounters a whole deck of playing cards in a large garden behind a small door, with the rough-and-tumble Queen of Hearts, the good old King of Hearts, and the spunky Jack (J) of Hearts, among others. In this fantastic crazy world, it seems that only Alice is the only sober person, she continues to explore, and at the same time continue to ask "who am I", in the adventure at the same time continue to recognize the self, continue to grow, and finally grow into a "big" girl, suddenly woke up, only to find that it is all a big deal! When she finally grows up to be a "big" girl, she suddenly wakes up and realizes that all this is a dream of her own. Alice Through the Looking Glass is about a little girl, Alice, who has just finished playing a game of chess and is so curious about what is reflected in the mirror that she goes through the mirror and enters the chess world in the mirror. Here, the whole world is a big chessboard, and Alice herself is just a pawn in the chessboard. The little girl from their own chess grid to start, step by step forward, each move has a wonderful encounter: Alice will fly on the ground without touching the walking, where the flowers and insects can talk, the White Queen into a sheep shopkeeper, her hands knitting needles into a rowing boat oars, and so on. Most of the stories in the mirror are taken from traditional English nursery rhymes, which the author develops through his own imagination and narrates in detail, bringing the people and objects in the rhymes to life in front of the readers: rival brothers who fight over trivial matters, the arrogant simpleton, and the lions and unicorns who fight for the crown. It seems that only the White Knight, inventor and scrap collector, cannot be categorized, but he happens to be the author himself incarnate. When Alice finally makes it to the eighth frame and becomes queen, she prepares a grand feast for all these people, a feast where roasted leg of lamb bows and pudding talks, a feast that eventually turns into chaos, and the intolerable Alice clings to the shaking Red Queen who ends up turning into a little black cat, and Alice wakes up shaken and begins to ask if this is her dream, or the Red King's dream?

Characters (1) Alice At the age of 19, Alice has her own thoughts about the future. As an adult, she is trapped in the superficiality of Victorian high society women, unable to find a balance between her own dreams and the expectations of her friends and family. This underworld she visited when she was a child, but now has no recollection of it. After falling down the rabbit hole, Alice meets her childhood friends once again: Absolom the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, her fat twin brothers Tinker and Knock-Knock, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice suddenly becomes bigger and smaller, she thought it was all a dream, "until the underground" those who are not very friendly to her residents asked her to defend their fantasy home, Alice's challenge came. (2) The Mad Hatter The ever-changing moods of the impatient Mad Hatter are faithfully reflected in his face and attire. He has been anxiously waiting for Alice's return. He is Alice's true friend, and he is the only one who stands firmly by Alice when the other residents do not want to believe her. In this story, he is brave and fearless and spares no effort to protect Alice. (3) Cheshire Cat The Cheshire Cat is a short-tailed cat who can appear and disappear at any time. He always wears a calm, inviting smile to hide his timid personality. This cat first appeared when Alice was attacked by a dangerous beast, he used ribbons to help Alice bandage her wounds. Alice takes him to the Mad Hatter's tea party, but the timid cat turns his back on his friends when the Red Queen takes control of the underworld. Accused by the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat finally wins back the respect of his friends through his ability and courage to fight for his life. (6) The Red Queen, the tyrant of the Underworld, is a combination of the Queen of Hearts from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the Red Queen from Alice's Adventures in the Mirror. Her head was too big for her body, and she was a domineering character, screaming for people's heads to be chopped off, and the Underworld was under her brutal rule. She deposed and exiled her sister, the White Queen, who was supposed to be the Queen. (7) The White Queen is the sister of the Red Queen. Underneath her cheerful and lively personality, she has a bit of darkness. She shares many of the same genes as the Red Queen, and is actually fond of the dark side, but is afraid of going too deep, so she always acts in a light-hearted manner. But out of fear, she can't control herself in the world she lives in. Though not entirely selfless, when Alice returns to the Underworld, the White Queen takes her under her wing and protects her
