The female dance is cheerful and beautiful; the male dance is tough and strong, and presents its characteristics by shaking the shoulders and rubbing the arms in various horse steps, which fully expresses the majestic posture of the horseback nation. Chopstick Dance" is one of the representative Mongolian folk dances, which fully represents the style of Mongolian dance. The image characteristics of its Mongolian dance can be used. The word "proud son of the sky" summarizes it. It contains the boldness and self-confidence of the national character and shows the ancient and simple dynamic image. This spirit in today's Mongolian steppe, Mongolian people, Mongolian dance is still overflowing with vitality.
The Formation of Chopsticks and National Temperament
(1) The Origin of Chopsticks Nose
The Chopsticks Dance originated in the plateau of Ordos, and it was named after the dancers who held chopsticks in their hands and struck the song and dance. It is mainly popularized in the area of Ordos Banner and Uttarakhand Banner in Ikezhaomeng. Its main rhythm of a shoulder part and rhythm, this art and the Mongolian steppe life of the natural environment, mode of production and habits have a very close connection is also representative of one of the forms of traditional folk dance, which comes from the herdsmen's life, the herdsmen after grazing long yell and get together, talking and playing and singing, for self-entertainment. Performers hold a chopstick in each hand, holding the thin head of the chopsticks; hit the thick head of the chopsticks, the action from the chest of both hands cross to hit the chopsticks, but also hit the shoulders, hands in front of the abdomen cross to hit the chopsticks and so on. The slow dance is calm and deep; the fast dance is graceful and vigorous. When the dancer's feelings come to a climax, he can't help but leave his seat and dance to a more spacious position, which enlarges the amplitude of the movement and shows the vigorous dance posture. Distinctive rhythms and cheerful sense of humor, accompanied by pleasant singing and banging sounds, happy people can not help but shake their bodies, relaxed and comfortable with chopsticks to hit their own bodies to dance, all night long. All night long. In the form of performance, but also by the original single performance has developed into a double dance, male and female group dance, square collective dance, and, in the past, only men perform, and now there are women on the stage. The performance form of Chopstick Dance directly and objectively reflects the spirit of Mongolian people. It is a unique form of performance. Chopsticks, which are indispensable tools in daily life, are processed into props for the dance. In short, the real charm lies in their bosom, can tolerate the feelings of the grassland, there is this bosom and feelings, can not dance out of the heart and mind collision of the dance to?
(2) the beauty of the chopstick dance flavor
The so-called flavor, refers to the dancers in the performance of the dance process, and can be felt by the audience of the inherent beauty of the implicit. The beauty of flavor that we are talking about here is the unique style and flavor of Mongolian "Chopsticks Dance" that distinguishes it from other ethnic dances. It is the soul of the dance, the core and essence of the national style, and the most prominent and significant attribute of the Mongolian dance personality. The flavor comes from the rhythm, which is the running law of the dance movements that form the style and flavor, i.e., in the dance performance, you can often find the kind of left first right, want to put the first to close, as well as the movement and the static, the up and the down, the high and the low, the long and the short and many other kinds of rhythms. The Chopsticks Dance adopts the rhythms of raocoon and twisting and tilting, etc. The concentration, unification, harmonization and coherence of these multiple rhythms make the Chopsticks Dance vivid and lively. The rhythm and breathing are inseparable in the dance performance, and the coordination and harmonization of breathing is an important factor in the formation of the rhythm of the Mongolian dance, and only by breathing smoothly and freely throughout the dance can the beauty of the rhythm be more fully displayed. The custom of Mongolian life creates the beauty of the movement of Mongolian dance.
(3) Curl up and inherit
Today's era, absorbing a lot of Western and foreign factors and culture, at the same time, China's art and culture have been affected to a certain extent, so in my personal opinion, can be appropriate to add some modern aesthetic elements and rhythms, which facilitates the further strengthening of China's art and culture. However, it cannot be detached from the Mongolian cultural background and traditional heritage. Here, I would like to borrow the Mongolian chopstick dance work "Soul of War" choreographed by Mr. Shi Jun of our institute to carefully explain the role and development of chopsticks in the repertoire. I am the main character of "Soul of War". Under the careful guidance of Mr. Shi Jun, I realized that the main character in the work is a brave warrior of the Mongolian race, who fell on the battlefield in the wars and assassinations time and again. He woke up from a coma, saw his comrades wounded and sacrificed, the hero's spirit broke down, and fantasized about the scene of their former life, he longed for peace; he longed for the reunion with his family and siblings, but when he woke up from his dream, he found his hands stained with blood, and he saw that he was surrounded by the mutilated corpses of his brothers, who had been with him in the same sweetness and sweetness and had fought side by side with him, and he had wanted to wake them up, but he couldn't do anything, and he was in pain and struggled in his heart; hating the enemy, he picked up the weapons of his war with the last strength, and in the fantasy, it seemed that there was another battlefield. Weapons, in the fantasy as if there are thousands of horses and armies fighting alongside it, *** with the enemy to kill and defend the country. This work is about the Mongolian warrior's courageous spirit of never giving up, fighting to the end, and not falling down even after death. That's what I'm trying to do with this piece.
In the process of choreographing the work "Spirit of War", Mr. Shi Jun fully used and utilized the chopsticks as props, and he treated the chopsticks used in the work as weapons (knives) used by Mongolian warriors in battle. On the basis of the traditional chopstick dance, holding a chopstick in each hand, he choreographed some movements and rhythms with stabbing and fighting, which opened up a new aesthetic aspect of the whole dance. At the same time, the previous programmed chopstick dance was also developed, which talked about the development and inheritance of chopstick dance. Mr. Shi Jun's use of chopsticks in the dance work as a weapon for Mongolian warriors is a major innovation in the use of props in the Chopstick Dance. The movement of the chopsticks on the body with the plot changes make the whole dance varied, but also make the action looks strong, like a warrior with a knife in stabbing the enemy, so that the work is full of war atmosphere, full of killing, breaking the programmed chopsticks dance, so that the audience saw a new side of the chopsticks dance, to see the work of the unexpected.
Chopstick Dance develops with the development of the times, and changes with the change of people's consciousness, but no matter where it changes to, the soul of the nation is always embedded in its unique shoulder rhythms and strong and varied chopsticks hitting the rhythm, which shows that the folk dance is a direct expression of a nation's thoughts, feelings, aesthetics, and concepts are blended together. I think the traditional cultural background can not be lost, as the saying goes: ? People can't forget their roots, as long as the modern things are good, they can serve the Mongolian dance development.
In short, Chopstick Dance is a branch of Mongolian dance, and I am fond of this Chopstick Dance. That is why I started from here to discuss the cultural background of the Mongolian people. Although the discussion is not very comprehensive, it can explain the Mongolian Chopstick Dance and the cultural background in a relatively simple way. My power alone is small and insignificant. However, I firmly believe that there are millions of people who are trying to inherit the tradition and cultural background of the Mongolian people on one hand, and on the other hand, they are absorbing the good ideas and good movements of foreigners to make the Mongolian people's heritage and connotation better, and thus to develop in a high speed and healthy way. Mongolian cultural background can also be said to be Mongolian heritage. How do we comprehend the boundless sky of the vast grassland, which requires us to become eagles, fighting its sky so that our nation will soon become an eagle soaring in the sky, galloping steeds on the grassland, showing vitality everywhere.
