Acting Experience

In May 1983, Wang Weinian began his career in film and television acting, playing the role of Yang Yansi (Qilang) in the TV series "Yang Family Generals" directed by Sun Wei.

In 1986, he starred in the first part of the TV series "The Legend of Dee Renjie Breaking the Case", in which he played Qiao Tai.

In 1991, he starred in the TV series "Yang Family Generals" directed by Zhang Shaolin, playing Liao Marshal Han Yanshou, and had a lot of horse scenes in the movie.

In 1996, he joined CCTV and has since participated in the taping of nearly 10 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, serving as planner, director and choreographer. The programs he choreographed also won awards for seven consecutive years. Among them, the song and dance "Chinese Drum" choreographed for the Spring Festival Gala in 1996 was used by CCTV's Variety Channel as the title promo and won the Starlight Award, and 16 sets of the footage were integrated into the 2008 Olympic bid promo by director Zhang Yimou.

In 2001, at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, he was involved in directing the motion drama "I am in charge of the New Year" performed by Cheng Fangyuan, choreographing the song "Everybody Come Together" sung by Liu Huan as well as acting as the scenario designer for the song "Choose Your Love" sung by Zheng Yijian and Zhang Ziyi, and all three programs won awards. He also created the animated drama "I'm in charge of the New Year" for the Spring Festival Gala, which was the first animated drama performance and won the second prize of the Spring Festival Gala that year.

In 2002, he was the planner and choreographer for Jackie Chan's programs in Beijing TV's "Spring Festival Gala" and "The Great Wall of the World YMCA".

In 2006, she was the choreographer of the dance "Drum God", which won the gold medal at the New Zealand International Arts Festival.

In 2008, at the invitation of host Wang Fang, Wang Weinian began to participate in the recording of "Who's Talking", a large-scale daily emotional talk show on BTV's Youth Channel. It was this opportunity that pushed Wang Weinian from the back of the curtain to the front of the stage, and he successfully transformed himself into an outstanding talk show host in China in five years.

In the same year, he was the director of the China Disabled Persons' Federation's Paralympics promotional video (starring Andy Lau) and the National Day of Disabled Persons promotional video.
