In the 1960s, Mo Yan was in the third grade of primary school. The school organized a visit to a suffering exhibition, and the students burst into tears under the guidance of the teacher. Mo Yan didn't wipe the tears from his face in order to let the teacher watch his performance. Several students quietly spit on their faces and pretended to cry. One student didn't have a tear on his face, didn't make a sound in his mouth, and didn't cover his face with his hand.
He looked at it with wide eyes, with surprise or confusion in his eyes. Afterwards, Mo Yan reported the classmate's behavior to the teacher. To this end, the school gave this classmate a warning.
Many years later, when Mo Yan complained to the teacher because of informers, the teacher said that there were more than a dozen students who came to talk to him about it that day. This classmate died more than ten years ago, and every time I think of him, I feel deeply sorry. This incident made Mo Yan realize that some people should be allowed not to cry when everyone is crying. When crying becomes a manifestation, some people should be allowed not to cry.
2. The most painful thing in memory
Mo Yan followed his mother to pick wheat ears in the collective field, and all the people watching the wheat fields came. The gleaners ran away, and his mother was caught by the little feet. The keeper slapped her in the face and her mother fell to the ground. The keeper confiscated their ears of wheat and left.
Mother's mouth was bleeding and she sat on the ground, looking desperate. Many years later, the man guarding the wheat field became an old man. Mo Yan met him in the market, and Mo Yan wanted to rush to get back at him. Mother grabbed him and said to him, the man who hit her is not the same as this old man.
3. Remember the most profound point.
At noon on a Mid-Autumn Festival, the family had a rare meal of jiaozi, each with only one bowl. While eating jiaozi, an old beggar came to the door. Mo Yan picked up half a bowl of dried sweet potatoes to send him away, but he said indignantly, "I am an old man." You eat jiaozi, but you let me eat dried sweet potatoes. How long is your heart? "
Mo Yan said angrily, "We can't eat jiaozi several times a year. We can't even eat half a bowl! Just give you dried sweet potatoes. If you want it, you have to, or you have to leave! " Mother scolded Mo Yan, picked up her half bowl of jiaozi and poured it into the old man's bowl.
4. One thing I regret most.
Mo Yan followed his mother to sell cabbage, and intentionally or unintentionally overcharged an old man who bought cabbage by a dime. Mo Yan went to school after calculating the money. Mo Yan came home from school and saw his mother, who seldom shed tears, with tears streaming down her face. Mother didn't scold him, but said softly, "Son, you embarrassed your mother."
5. The earliest thing in memory
Mo Yan took the only hot water kettle at home and went to the canteen to open the water. Hungry and weak, he accidentally broke the thermos bottle. Mo Yan was so scared that he got into the haystack and dared not come out for a day. At night, I heard his mother calling his birth name out of the haystack, thinking that she would be beaten and scolded, but her mother didn't beat and scold him, just touched his head and sighed.
6, against the old head
Mo Yan worked in the army. One night, while reading in the office, an old officer pushed the door and came in. He glanced at the opposite position and said to himself, "Oh, nobody?" Mo Yan immediately stood up and said loudly, "Am I not a human being?" The old officer blushed and stepped out in embarrassment. For this matter, Mo Yan was proud for a long time and felt that he was a brave warrior. Years later, he felt deeply guilty about it.
7.eight masons
Eight masons who went out to work hid in a broken temple to avoid the storm. It was thundering outside, and everyone was frightened. One man said, "One of us must have done something out of line. Whoever does something bad will go out of the temple and be punished, so as not to bring trouble to good people. "
Nobody wants to go out. Someone suggested, "Since nobody wants to go out, let's throw out the straw hat. Whose straw hat is blown out of the temple gate means that he has done something bad and asked him to go out and accept punishment. "
So everyone threw straw hats outside the temple gate, and the straw hats of seven people were scraped back into the temple gate. Only one man's straw hat was pulled out, and everyone urged him to go out and accept punishment. He didn't want to go out, so they threw him out of the temple. As a result, as soon as someone was thrown out of the temple gate, the ruined temple collapsed.
