Han to Sui dynasties
In the third year of Yuanfeng of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (108 BC), Xuantu County was established by the extermination of Weiman Joseon, which governed the southeastern part of Jilin Province. The cities and counties of Changbai, Tumen, Dunhua, Hualong, Wangqing, Longjing, Hunchun, and Yanji in the east and south belonged successively to Canghai County, Lintun County, and Lelang County.
Tonghua, Ji'an, Meihekou, Jingyu, Baishan and other cities and counties belonged to Zhenfan County and Xuantu County. This was the beginning of the administrative establishment of the Jilin region into the Central Plains Dynasty. Between 37 and 668 years ago, Goguryeo was active in Jilin, and had its capital in Ji'an Marudusan and Domestic City, and fought with the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Wei Dynasty, Sui Dynasty and other Central Plains regimes, and its sphere of influence in its heyday included the southeastern part of Jilin, east of Liaohe River, and the northern part of the Korean Peninsula.
The Tang Dynasty
The first year of the Tang Emperor Gaozong's general chapter (668), the Tang Dynasty and Silla jointly destroyed Goguryeo, and set up the Anton Province, with the northwestern region belonging to the Tang Muwei Province. In the first year of Wu Zetian's reign (698), Da Jorong, the leader of the Su Mohe tribe, established the "Zhen Guo" in Dongmushan, Dunhua.
Tang Xuanzong Xiantian two years (713 years), by the Tang Xuanzong feudal "Bohai country", ruled most of Jilin Province. Later, it was the capital of Hualong and Hunchun.
Song, Liao and Jin periods
The latter Tang Mingzong Tiancheng first year (926) for the Khitan destroyed, set up Dongdan country, set up in the west of Huanglongfu. During the Liao Dynasty, most of Jilin Province was under the jurisdiction of the Tokyo Province and the western part was under the jurisdiction of the Shangjing Province.
The Jin Dynasty set up the Shangjing Road, Beijing Road, Tokyo Road, Chengping Road, and Hailanjiang Road under its jurisdiction, which basically covered the whole territory of present-day Jilin Province. Jin Zhenyou three years (1215) the female Puxian Wanlu established Dongzhen country. Jin Tianxing two years (1233) for Mongolia destroyed.
Yuan Dynasty Period
Yuan Dynasty was under Liaoyang Province, and was the jurisdiction of Kaiyuan Road, Beidada Road, Taining Road of Zhongshu Province, and Chengpingfu directly under the Central Privy Council.
Ming Dynasty period
Most of the Ming Dynasty under the Nuergan capital division, the western part of the Taonan area belongs to the Daning capital division of the Taining Wei, the southeastern part of the area of the Jianzhou Wei, one of the birthplaces of the Jianzhou women's true religion.
Qing Dynasty period
Qing Shunzhi ten years (1653), set up Ningguta Angbang Zhangjing.
Qing dynasty Kangxi twelve years (1673), the Qing court built Jilin city, named "Jilin Ula", Jilin thus named, and then Ningguta general quarters moved to Jilin city.
Qing dynasty qianlong five years (1740) promulgated the "return of the displaced persons order", to the east of shanhaiguan area to implement the policy of confinement. But the Qing government's policy of closure did not prevent a large number of Han Chinese peasants forced to live in northern China into the central Jilin Province, and to the north, east and west.
In the twenty-second year of the Qianlong era (1757), General Ningguta was changed to General Jilin, "Jilin" from the original name of the city to expand the administrative region. Jilin General area includes Songhua River, Suifen River, Mudan River, Tumen River Basin, the west from Kaiyuan Weiyuan Fort border gate, east to the Ussuri River and the Kuril Islands, including along the river and to the Changbai Mountain area.
