European and American Chinese can't eat Chinese food often and western food every day, what kind of experience is it?

It's definitely hard to get used to it at first, but living for a while you slowly adapt.

If you have money and energy, then you eat much better than in China. If you are just a poor student with no time or money, then you eat much worse than in China.

Compared to Europe, the US and Canada are all immigrant countries where you can eat completely authentic cuisine from all countries. Even the local western food, will find a surprise. Ordinary a little bit of western food, usually per capita 30-50 Canadian dollars, but usually ordinary steak pork chops fish and shrimp and so on. But if you are willing to spend money, then ordinary dishes can also eat flowers. The summer before last, my friend and I booked into a famous western restaurant in Toronto 2 months in advance, and the per capita still cost 80 knives for the summer food festival event. I ordered the main course is Canada's Angus beef cut into slices, marinated and grilled with a spray gun until half-cooked, the original flavor of beef and sauce is a match made in heaven, that meal is also my best Western food memories. I've also been to a $100+ Japanese restaurant in Toronto, where I realized for the first time that sushi can be so good.

However, for most people, this kind of meal can't be eaten more than a few times a year, and usually when I'm at school, how do children similar to me fill up their hunger?

The Middle Eastern food truck in front of the entrance, shawarma meatloaf is 8 Canadian dollars for 2, the meatloaf is rolled with turkey kebab, lettuce, and a lot of strange marinades. 10 bucks can be exchanged for rice.

Fast food stand, regular hotdogs are 5 bucks a piece, there are many kinds of meat sausages, you can add your own pickles and cucumbers and such. Regular burgers are the same price, just patty + bun, nothing else. Good thing there's the Canadian specialty poutine though, fries with cheese and gravy on top, also 5-6 bucks.

Behind the library, there's a Korean place that serves all kinds of Korean rice and bibimbap for 8-10 bucks, and the chicken thighs in particular are pretty good, but I feel like they're lacking a little bit.

Library food court's subway, pizza (basically only 3 flavors), and 7 yuan a box of 6 California roll, as for the sushi with fish will be 10 yuan. And of course the teriyaki bento with very small portions.

School cafeteria, buffet, 15 dollars per person. The quality of the food is entirely a matter of luck, so you have to read the menu before you go. There's a salad section, a hamburger and hot dog section, a station that does Asian-style noodles OR rice, and a station for Western-style entrees. But you can have all-you-can-eat dessert ice cream here.

The food trucks for American-style Chinese food are 7-8 bucks for a boxed lunch with vegetables and meat to hold you over.
