Anwen. An Wen, formerly known as Zhang Jinglin, was born on May 25, 1968 in Tianjin, China, and graduated from the Chinese Academy of Opera. She began her acting career at the age of 10 under the tutelage of Peking Opera master Mr. Zhang Junqiu, specializing in the roles of Qingyi and Dan, and in 1985, at the age of 17, she starred in the TV series "The Four Together", based on Lao She's novel of the same name.
