Zhalong Nature Reserve is densely populated with lakes and reeds, making it a paradise for waterfowl and other birds. There are 15 species of cranes in the world, 9 in China and 6 in Zalong.
April to June every year, about two to three hundred species of rare birds gathered in Zalong Nature Reserve, the scene is spectacular, before and after the May 1 holiday is the best season to watch migratory birds.
Zhalong Nature Reserve is located in the Uyur River area, the river overflows, forming a vast, reed-based swamp, very suitable for birds, fish and shrimp growth and reproduction . At the same time, aquatic and wet plants are widely distributed, plankton, aquatic insects, mollusks and frogs, fish reproduce in large quantities, so the waterfowl food source is very rich.
Because of the vast water surface here, the swamps and marshes are densely covered with silt, which is not conducive to the production of fishing and hunting and the activities of animals, making it a natural sanctuary for waterfowls and a paradise to live in, which provides the most favorable place for large waterfowls, such as the Dan Ding Crane, to live and reproduce.
When we enter the Zalong Nature Reserve, we will see the vastness of the reeds, the foot trestle winding through the reeds in the depths, I believe that we will have a high degree of excitement through the trestle walking to the Danding Crane release site.
Danding Crane Release Viewing Platform is a large square, whenever the cranes before the release, everyone will gather early in the small river, feel the cool water, quietly waiting for the cranes to take off moment.
Danding cranes are known for their elegant and simple colors, light and airy dance, echoing calls, and flying in the wind and clouds, which is magical and elegant, and has always been known as the "immortal crane". It is a symbol of good luck, the model of loyal love, health and longevity of the logo, throughout the ages, the cranes have been loved by the people.
In Zalong Nature Reserve, in addition to the opportunity to view wild cranes, the reserve will be released 3 to 4 times a day in captivity , the scene is extremely spectacular, more than a hundred cranes flying and dancing, and they chirp in the air circling the breathtaking viewers.
Every year in May, wild cranes build nests in the reeds and take turns incubating their young in about 30 days. In Zalong, a lot of captive cranes will fly away to marry and pair with wild cranes and breed their offspring, and it is really a welcome thing that the number of cranes in Zalong Nature Reserve is increasing.
We wandered through the Zalong Nature Reserve, enjoying the ecological environment of the reed wetland, enjoying the dance of the birds, it is really refreshing. Nature has given mankind such a beautiful ecological environment, we naturally have the responsibility and obligation to protect and care for nature.
