In the much-anticipated countdown to New Year's Eve, the city's cultural celebrities, representatives of Tianjin citizens who have signed up through the Internet, and five other guests will **** the same ringing of the Gulou New Year's clock to herald in the arrival of the New Year.
As one of the symbols of Tianjin's urban culture, the Drum Tower used to ring its bell every morning and evening on time. This year, the bells of the Drum Tower will bring New Year's wishes and blessings to the people of Jincheng on New Year's Eve.
Gulou light show
This exhibition at the Drum Tower is particularly noteworthy. The east wall of the Drum Tower will be used as a curtain, and the holographic equipment projected on the wall of the Drum Tower will have a stunning 3D effect. Fireworks, Mazu, Tianjin Eye, Sea World, and stories of the Drum Tower's past lives will all be on display. Together with the changing lights around the building,**** the same will create a dazzling visual feast for the audience.
There are also interactive sessions for the audience at the event, such as New Year's wishes, smile photos, and stories with Tianjin. The audience's eyes are projected onto the Drum Tower wall through virtual reality multimedia technology.
-New Year's Eve performance-
The New Year's Eve event kicked off with a full-length classic Peking opera, "The Red Mane and the Strong Horse," at the Guangdong Hall. Near 11 p.m., the main stage in the plaza in front of the Drum Tower took over with a heritage-themed cultural evening that brought a second wave of excitement. The main stage performance featured Peking Opera and folk music, with professional troupes and the audience in attendance. Combining an architectural show, a light show, a square dance flash mob and a New Year's Eve concert, the performance echoed the interaction, allowing the people present to **** with the live performance.
Tianjin Sky Tower
The technology used in this light show originated from outdoor art projections in Europe in the 1950s. After more than half a century of technological development, the projection technology has been able to mimic 95% of the colorful colors of the solar spectrum. It has no damage to the building and the audience can experience the 3D visual sensation with the naked eye. This technology is a media carrier, presenting even more giant works of art. This technology was widely used in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, bringing a precious opening show to the global audience. 17:30 on December 31, the Sky Tower Naked Eye 3D Light Show Creative Projection was screened on time, for 3 consecutive days, to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The light show lasts for 41 days, spanning New Year's Day, Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival. Music and light intertwine to open a romantic and childlike light feast. There are also many places suitable for photo-taking and carding waiting for you to discover.
