--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the bottom of the very, very deep sea, there was a majestic castle, in which lived six Mermaid Princesses, who were all very beautiful,
especially the youngest, who had long golden hair, and was prettier than her sisters, and who loved to listen to her sisters talk about the many new things that were going on at the surface of the sea
So the youngest Princess used to think of the day when she could go to the surface of the sea and see for herself.
And so she waited and waited, and then on her fifteenth birthday she quietly swam out to sea, and there was a very big
boat on the sea, and many people on board were having a great birthday party.
The people on the ship raised their glasses in congratulations, "Prince! Happy birthday to you!" That prince was majestic, dashing and handsome. The mermaid
princess was enamored of him, too.
But ......
Suddenly, "Whew!" A great wind blew the great ship over, and the prince fell overboard and drifted to the surface.
"Oh no! If we don't save the prince quickly, his life will be in danger!" So it took a lot of effort for the mermaid princess to save
the prince on shore.
"Prince! Wake up!" The mermaid princess said as she touched the prince's hand.
Then the mermaid princess heard footsteps approaching and hid behind a rock, it was a girl who came she was shocked to see the prince
laying on the beach, the prince soon came to his senses under her careful care.
The prince smiled at the girl and said, "Thank you! For saving my life."
The mermaid princess was saddened to hear this, "Prince, I'm the one who saved your life!"
The mermaid princess couldn't get the prince out of her mind because she was a mermaid and couldn't get close to him, so every night she swam outside the
castle and looked at him from afar.
The mermaid princess said to herself, "I really want to be human!"
So the mermaid princess went to the witch to help her get her wish.
The witch said, "I have a way to turn you into a human, but when your tail turns into feet, it will hurt like a knife cut
when you walk, and also, if the prince marries someone else, you will turn into a bubble and die."
In addition to this the witch wanted the mermaid to give her her beautiful voice.
"Good! I don't care about anything else as long as I can be by the prince's side!"
So the mermaid princess swam to the shore of the castle and drank the witch's medicine, and her whole body felt very sad and fainted; I don't
know how long it took, but the mermaid princess's tail slowly split into two feet.
"Miss, what's wrong with you."
When the mermaid princess slowly opened her eyes, the person in front of her turned out to be the prince; but the mermaid princess was unable to answer because she had
given her voice to the witch.
The prince took the mermaid princess back to the castle and dressed her in a gorgeous dress.
"What a beauty!" The people of the castle praised the mermaid princess very much for her beauty, and although the mermaid princess could not speak or sing
songs, while her wonderful dancing attracted everyone's attention, no one knew that the mermaid princess was suffering from a sore foot and had come to amuse the
prince and the crowd.
The prince treated the mermaid princess like a sister and took care of her.
One day, the prince took the mermaid princess to the neighboring country, where he had been rescued the last time he fell into the sea; the prince was there to meet the girl
.
The prince was very happy and said, "She saved my life, so I will marry her."
"No! Not right! Prince, I'm the one who saved your life!" The mermaid princess shouted, but the prince remained deaf.
The prince finally married the girl.
On the boat back home, the mermaid princess cried sadly, when from the sea came the voices of her sisters, "In order to save
you, we went to beg the witch and traded our hair for this sword, so you can use it to kill the prince, and use the prince's blood on
your feet, and you'll turn back into a mermaid. "
"You must summon the courage to do it, or you will turn into a bubble and die in the morning."
The mermaid princess made up her mind to enter the prince's bedchamber while he slept; but looking at the prince's peaceful face, she couldn't
make up her mind.
At dawn, the mermaid princess said to herself on the deck, "Prince! Farewell."
So the mermaid princess's body slowly, turned into many colorful bubbles.
The light of dawn shone on the bubbles, and the mermaid princess's figure, like in the bubbles, rose upward.
"There goes my lovely sister!" The prince was looking around for the mermaid princess.
The mermaid princess who had turned into air just looked at the prince, contentedly flying off into the depths of the pink clouds!
The Mermaid's Tale
The mermaid fell in love with the prince, so she approached the witch at the bottom of the sea and pleaded with her to turn her into a human being, and the witch offered to give her wonderful voice in exchange. The mermaid agreed in order to be with the prince. So the witch took the mermaid's wonderful voice and used a spell to turn her beautiful fish tail into human legs.
The mermaid came to the world of men and stayed with the prince as she wished. How happy she was! Although she lost her beautiful singing voice and could no longer speak, she was content to spend time with her beloved, and the prince was so good to her that the mermaid felt that it was worth whatever price she had to pay. Until one day, the prince met an earthly princess ......
At this point you probably have to say, "I know, I've heard this story before. The prince fell in love with that princess and decided to marry her, and the mermaid couldn't get the prince's love, so she turned into a bubble and disappeared when the sun came up. That story is so cliché!"
No, no, that's not the story I was going to tell. The story you're telling is trite, but beautiful. My story is not so beautiful.
At the time when the prince fell in love with the princess, the mermaid was suddenly able to speak! She was overjoyed. She had always thought that it was her inability to speak and make her prince understand her feelings that made him fall in love with the princess instead of her. So she rushed to the prince and expressed her love to him. She thought that the prince would come back to her, and that the prince had been so good to her, all along.
The prince spoke, but his voice was so disappointed, "Yes, I know, I always knew. But, my lovely mermaid, why did you say it? Isn't it good to just bury it in your heart? If you didn't say it, we could still be good together, and I could still treat you well. But now that you've said it, how awkward it will make things between us!"
The mermaid was terrified, "Why? Don't you love me? Don't you like me? But you are so good to me ......"
The prince laughed: "I am good to you because you are simple, kind, and do not have the complicated mind of human beings. But how could I fall in love with you? I'm a human, and you're a fish after all! How can a human fall in love with a fish?"
So the mermaid understood: a fish can fall in love with a human, but a human cannot fall in love with a fish, because, well, a human is far less simple than a fish.
When you hear this, do you think the story sounds familiar?
Yes, I am that mermaid. I fell in love with a prince and willingly gave up my precious and beautiful fish tail just to come to the prince's world and accompany him. But I forgot that a mermaid, no matter how human she becomes, is still a fish. She can't become a real human being, and she doesn't even look like a fish anymore. The mermaid without the tail is no longer beautiful, and the mermaid without the sea will only shrivel up.
But if it is only like this, if I keep this secret, I may still be able to stay quietly by your side, watching you play that love movie with other women, and then, quietly wither away alone, just like the mermaid in that old story. Such an ending is too perfect, too touching. Perhaps, this is exactly the ending you want.
Unfortunately, the witch's spell did not suppress my voice, as the cold sea could not suppress the mermaid's passion. I did everything I could to let you know my mind, and so you began to fear, even hate me, because you had to make a choice: accept me, or reject me. It wasn't what you wanted, and I ruined the perfect ending you had designed.
The story stopped being beautiful from here.
Is this fortunate? Or is it unfortunate?
The mermaid learns what the prince is really thinking, but then her dreams are shattered.
The old story goes that the mermaid, clinging to her beautiful dream, refused to accept her sisters' advice to exchange the prince's blood for her own life, and from then on, she turned into a beautiful bubble and disappeared into the light of the sun.
What would she have done if she had known the prince's true thoughts? Would she have plunged the little golden knife, which she had traded for her sisters' beautiful long hair, into the prince's chest with a vengeance?
What are you nervous about? Let me tell you the answer:
She won't.
Because she loves the prince! Even if the prince didn't love her, and even cheated on her and broke her heart badly, she still loved him. She wanted the prince to live happily ever after.
But she wouldn't be willing to be a bubble either. She wants to live happily ever after too, both as a human and as a fish.
Yes, mermaids need love, and have love to survive. But why does it have to be the love of a prince? Under the sky, there are many people who love the little mermaid y! There are her relatives, there are her many good companions, and even, on the other side of the dome, there may be another prince waiting for her!
The mermaid will be able to swim freely in the sea again without the prince!
Let's all live happily ever after! This is a better ending.
Or it could have been a beautiful story.
