At the turn of summer and autumn, the weather was crisp and clear. I made an appointment with some friends and took the time to visit Qianhu Miao Village in Xijiang. I met a different kind of ethnic group in the Miao villagers’ homes with beautiful mountains and clear waters. style.
This is my first time coming to Xijiang, so I am full of expectations.
Before approaching the scenic spot, you can hear the tune of "Lusheng" coming from far away, which is sweet and long. At the gate of the scenic spot, there are two rows of corridors, which now become a place for the young people of the Miao family to sing in antiphony.
When you finish singing, we will appear on the stage, and the loud singing voice is always floating in the sky of Miao Village. We sat in the promenade and took a short rest. We planned to buy tickets and enter the scenic spot after watching the antiphonal song contest. However, we did not expect to see two teams of Miao people dressed in costumes come out and sing and dance in the square at the gate of the scenic spot. Then a dozen large square tables were placed around them, with a lot of wine utensils placed on them.
Yes, Xijiang's "Twelve Barrier Wines" are a kind of etiquette for welcoming guests. They can be tasted for free. It is a bit similar to fruit wine. It is sweet and delicious, but it is slightly spicier than fruit wine. It is not recommended. Greedy for drinking.
A tourist walked up, and the Miao elder who led him toasted him with a glass of wine using a horn cup and welcomed his arrival. One more thing to say here is that when the Miao people toast, remember not to touch the drinking utensils with their hands, otherwise they will think that the enthusiasm is not enough and they will continue to toast.
What is unexpected is that the song and dance performances and toasting experiences here are completely free, so we can’t help but look forward to the subsequent journey.
After purchasing the tickets, we got on the sightseeing bus, enjoying the green scenery along the way in the cool breeze, and unknowingly entered the Xijiang Miao Village.
Passing through the village gate, vehicles drive onto the stone streets, and you can see the scenery of the Xijiang River: surrounded by green mountains, living by the water, rows of tung-brown stilted buildings, exuding a simple atmosphere, each one long The corridor-style Fengyu Bridge has become a check-in attraction.
The vehicle stopped at the center of the Miao Village and we walked slowly. Since there was no tour guide to lead us, we only relied on a few scenic spot guides that we read temporarily, but we were like headless flies, not knowing where to go first. play.
Fortunately, not long after, the singing and dancing of the Miao family sounded again, becoming a messenger guiding us. After looking for the sound, I found a sunken square with tourists already standing around, watching the Miao song and dance performance.
I squeezed into the crowd, originally just to watch the excitement and gain popularity, but I didn't expect to be completely attracted. Amidst the rhythmic and dense drumbeats, the Miao girls attended the event dressed up and danced gracefully to the beat of the drums. Under their graceful dancing postures, the silver jewelry they wore struck together, making a crisp impact sound that was very audible.
After a while, the Miao girls left the stage one after another. Several young Miao people came out, blew whistles with their fingers, and then looked back and forth in the field, as if they were looking for something.
“This is the Miao’s ‘You Fang’, which is the way the Miao people fell in love in the past.” Beside us, a middle-aged man said to his friend who was traveling with him.
At the performance venue, after the whistle, Miao girls walked into the venue in groups holding umbrellas. They looked at the young Miao boys a little shyly, and then They all walked aside and started whispering.
The young Miao people were a little anxious. After several discussions, they all caught up and started performing their own talents, vowing to attract the attention of the younger sisters. Under a series of amusements, the girls followed them and plucked up the courage to walk to the center of the venue, and then began to sing Miao songs, which finally ended successfully.
After these performances, the rich and interesting song and dance culture of the Miao people was displayed. People seemed to be a little bit unsatisfied. What's more, what they didn't expect was that these performances can also be watched for free.
After leaving the performance venue (later we found out it was called the Lusheng Arena), we followed the flow of people and went to the Fengyu Bridge in Xijiang. We sat together on the "Beauty Seat" to relieve the heat and looked sideways. Watching the water flowing under the bridge behind them, they started joking with each other and chatting. For a moment, I felt like I was letting the world go by and that I had no worries about time.
Under the Fengyu Bridge and on the Baishui River, small boats are wandering. Female tourists wearing Miao Amei costumes sit on the shore and play in the water. Tourists in the distance are also considering whether to join them. But in the end, they all chose to be silent spectators.
Seeing people around us taking photos on the bridge, we also started a trip to the Kaxi River and shaped the time into what we like.
In the blink of an eye, night fell quietly. We wandered around, tasting Miao cuisine, and finally came to the observation deck. After finding a pavilion to sit down, we prepared to watch the famous "Night View of Xijiang River". ".
Slowly, the lights lit up one by one, and the crowds gathered. It was not until the sky completely darkened that the entire Xijiang Miao Village began to bloom with its beauty.
The lights of thousands of houses are the most soothing to people's hearts. This statement is indeed true. When the lights on the Xijiang River were brightly lit, the appearance of Qianhu Miao Village became clearer and more beautiful than during the day. Only then did people begin to be impressed by her "dignity", and then stayed near the viewing platform. Willing to leave.
As for us, we fixed the beauty and it was finally a worthwhile trip.
