Nanwu Mercy Guanyin Bodhisattva

Nan has no intention to bow down, be born again, salute, take refuge, save me, treat me, etc. And it is said that all beings convert to Buddhism, convert to heart, and convert to shun. Most of the Chinese Buddhist scriptures we can see now were translated around the Tang Dynasty, and the translation places are mainly concentrated in Shaanxi today. The ancient capital Xi is the capital of the Tang Dynasty. At that time, the official language of Xi 'an (equivalent to Mandarin today) was not the Shaanxi dialect we hear now, but Hakka dialect. Mercy and Mercy Guanyin's full name is Guanyin, also known as Guanzi, Guanzi and Guangshiyin. Sanskrit is "Guanyin Bodhisattva", which means observing the sad sound of chanting Guanyin's name in the pain of all beings in the world. "View" means observation, but it is different from general observation, but based on the wisdom of Buddhism. "Yin Shi" is the object and realm observed by Bodhisattva. The "world" here not only refers to the world, but also includes six paths, namely, man, heaven, Asura, beast, hungry ghost and hell. "Sound" is the sad sound of chanting Guanyin's name when six sentient beings were killed. In short, the three-character name "Guanyin" is the voice of the Bodhisattva who observes six sentient beings with great wisdom and recites their names because of their pain. If the Bodhisattva hears someone calling his name, he will immediately ask for help. Many places in the Buddhist scriptures explain the meaning of the three-character Guanyin. The Lotus Sutra, a wonderful method of avalokitesvara bodhisattva, says: "What is the reason why avalokitesvara bodhisattva is called avalokitesvara? The Buddha tells the infinite bodhisattva, a kind person, if hundreds of billions of sentient beings suffer from all kinds of troubles and hear that they are avalokitesvara, they will be relieved, and the avalokitesvara will immediately watch their voices. " "Zheng Huo Gong Men Pin" also records: "If all beings suffer hundreds of billions, they will be relieved if they hear the name of Yin Bodhisattva." It can be seen that the name Guanyin actually contains the thoughts and merits of Bodhisattva's compassion for the world. Guanyin's method is to seek sound to save the suffering of all beings, but there are infinite beings in the world, and their suffering is infinite. How does Guanyin face and receive the voice of suffering of all beings? Obviously, this is not something that ordinary people can do. Mahayana Buddhism believes that this is the function of two merits: compassion and wisdom, which are cultivated by Bodhisattva because of the land. Compassion is the essence of all bodhisattvas and the foundation of Mahayana Buddhism. Bodhisattva is a Sanskrit transliteration, which means "feeling sentient" and helps all sentient beings realize. Feeling sentient beings is the task of Bodhisattva, and it is also the concrete expression of Bodhisattva's compassionate spirit. Of course, it must be clear that compassion in Buddhism is not the meaning of secular understanding. Volume 27 of "Great Wisdom" explains: "Great kindness delights all sentient beings, and great compassion pulls out the sufferings of all sentient beings. "It is precisely because of this spirit that Bodhisattva can actively transform and benefit all beings. Without this kind of spirit, even with great wisdom, it is difficult to practice the lofty cause of "seeking Buddhism and Taoism and enlightening all beings". Among the great Buddhists, Guanyin Bodhisattva is famous for her compassion, with the greatest and most outstanding desire for compassion. In order to observe the voices of all beings conveniently, he called on all beings to recite his name when they were in danger. As soon as he heard this, he immediately asked for help. Guanyin, a quick and convenient way to relieve pain, fully embodies his urgent desire to help the world with compassion. Because of this, Guanyin has become a symbol of Buddhism's great compassion, and has been praised by Buddhists as "Guanyin Bodhisattva with great compassion", "Great Pessimism" and "Salvation Guanyin". Compassion is the fundamental driving force for Guanyin to help the world, and the role of Guanyin to help the world mainly depends on his profound wisdom during his lifetime. According to the sixth volume of the Shurangama Sutra, Guanyin had cultivated into the "Six Great Tong Yuan Wisdom" before numerous robberies in the Ganges. The six cosmic wisdom is a very profound term in Buddhism. Six elements refer to the six sensory organs of all beings: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind. Buddhism believes that when an ordinary person's practice reaches a satisfactory level, his six sensory functions will be greatly enhanced and become "the mutual utilization of six elements". In other words, the eyes can not only see the color, but also smell the sound, smell the fragrance, taste the taste, feel and know the law. Ear, nose, tongue, body and heart are the same, and each has its own sensory function. Six are compatible and harmonious. " "Nirvana Sutra" said: "If people come, they can see color, smell sound, smell fragrance, taste different things and know the law. One is now, and so are the rest. " "Hokkekyo" also said: "In the six pure roots, we can know that they can be colored, smelled, distinguished from incense, tasted, touched and learned the law. And the roots are mutually used. "The Shurangama Sutra is more specific and clear. The so-called "seeing without eyes", "listening without ears", "listening without nose", "feeling without body" and "knowing without heart". Guanyin has this magical power, so she can see the voices of ten parties in the complicated world and meet countless beings. The transliteration of Bodhisattva in Sanskrit is also an omission of Bodhi Sakhan, which means enlightenment and Sakhan means affection. Also translated as the heart of the road; Buddhism refers to people who practice to a certain extent and rank second only to Buddhism; Especially a person worshipped as a god in Mahayana Buddhism.
