Short Essay 2: (13 points)

The Philosophy of Ants

Ants are one of the most widely distributed and abundant creatures in the world. They are found in almost any corner of the world. I have carefully observed this amazing little creature and found that it has a simple, practical philosophy of survival. It is this philosophy that keeps the ant family thriving and alive forever. I call this philosophy the Ant Quartet.

First: never give up. If we try to block the way of an ant, it will immediately look for another way: () over or through the obstacle, () around. In short, it won't stop until it reaches its goal.

The second weight: saving for a rainy day. All summer ants prepare for the distant winter. As soon as summer begins, the ants start stocking up on winter food. This way, in the winter when everything is dying, the ants can also be well-fed.

Third: anticipation. Throughout the winter ants long for summer. In the midst of winter, the ants are reminded that the cold is almost over and that warmer, more comfortable days will soon follow. Even the rare warm winter sunshine attracts ants to come out and move their muscles in the sun. As soon as the cold snap hits, they retreat to their warm nests and wait for a sunny day to call.

Fourth: Doing all they can. How much can an ant do in summer to prepare for winter? The answer is to work with all its might.

What a vivid philosophical lesson the tiny ant teaches us. It tells us that never giving up, saving for a rainy day, looking forward to the future, and doing one's best are the secrets of success.
