-Little Prince
The first time I read The Little Prince was in high school, and I was immediately attracted by his fresh writing and simple world. Now, six years later, when I read The Little Prince again, I can't help crying again and again. I was heartbroken by the terrible sadness of the little prince, moved by his pure and persistent love, and lamented my fading childlike innocence. As the author Saint Exupery said in the preface, he dedicated this fairy tale to Leon Wilt, who was still a little boy.
This is an adult fairy tale, belonging to adults who once had childlike innocence. Children can't understand the bitterness and heavy love of the little prince. They should not realize this prematurely, they should enjoy a happy time in a sunny world. This is not so much a fairy tale as a tragedy. The hero in fairy tales always lives happily like Snow White or Cinderella. But the sad little prince died in the desert after seeing the true meaning of love.
The plot of the novel is very simple, mainly telling the little prince's travel process from the perspective of "I". Because of a beautiful and delicate rose, the little prince left B-6 12, which had been living quietly. He has traveled to six planets. On these planets, he met some adults, arrogant kings, money-obsessed businessmen and pedantic lamplighters who he thought were unreasonable ... so he kept feeling, "The world of adults is really strange." Here, the author reveals the emptiness, blindness and stupidity of these adults with the children's eyes of the little prince, and also reveals the loneliness and helplessness of adults.
At last he came to the earth. Here he met a fox, who solved his doubts about love caused by that delicate little rose, and made him understand that love means responsibility and sympathy, and that everything in life is meaningful only with love (love in a broad sense). The fox told him, "You are always responsible for what you tame." You should be responsible for your roses. ""If you tame me, my life will be full of sunshine and joy. I will hear different footsteps. ..... You have blond hair, so once you tame me, that will be great! Golden wheat will remind me of you. So I will fall in love with the wind through the wheat waves ... "Love makes people understand sadness and pain, and at the same time makes people get rid of loneliness and make life interesting and meaningful. As the little prince said to me, "It's like a flower. If you love a flower that grows on a star, when you look at the sky at night, you will feel sweet and happy, and all the stars seem to be in full bloom. " So the author understands that it's no big deal for a little sheep to eat a flower in this world, but for the little prince, "it's like all the stars are extinguished in an instant." "
Finally, on the first anniversary of leaving his planet, the little prince was killed by a poisonous snake, so that he could "get rid of his body weight" and return to his B-6 12 wandering star and his proud and fragile rose. The little prince left, just like a little girl who bought matches followed her grandmother to a world without cold and hunger. He ran to his eternal love. What is left to this world is only a golden wheat field and a humble rose garden. We cried in vain. And we, like foxes eager to be tamed, miss the golden hair of the little prince in the wheat field. Because of the little prince, I believe there is indeed a well hidden in the desert, because the little prince heard the sound of pulleys in the wind and drank the sweet spring that made the desert beautiful.
