If I Were a Fish, Seven Seconds of Memory is the song "Fish".
The lyrics of the song are as follows:
I'm a fish
Looking at you outside the tank
Knocking on the glass
You're smiling at me as I leave
Swimming, swimming and swimming and I'm forgetting about you
Even the distance between you and me
Snuggling your reflection in the water
Longing to lie in your warm palm
Feeling you
Hugging you
Kissing you
Unfortunately, all I can do is swim
Pretending to be a fish
Only a seven-second memory
I'm a fish
I'm a fish
I'm a fish
I'm a fish
I can't understand your words
I'm a fish. >I can't understand your words
Silence breathes in the water
I can't close my eyes
Swimming and swimming I'll remember you again
And your every expression
The water fills my eyes without a sound
But it blurs you
But you're not there
Longing to lie in your warm palm
To feel your warmth Feeling you
Hugging you
Kissing you
Kissing you
Longing to lie in your warm palm
Feeling you
Hugging you
Kissing you
What a pity that all I can do is swim
Pretend to be a fish
Only have a seven second memory
I'm a fish
Only Seven Seconds of Memory
Introduction to "Fish"
"Fish" is a love song written by Sun Zhuoran, composed by Sun Yanyan, and sung by Yao Beina, which is about a fish's pursuit of feelings. It depicts a dreamy mermaid love. Although the lyrics are simple, the emotions are abundant, which very much tests the singer's singing skills. The song was also the last work Yao Beina sang publicly before her death, when her cancer spread to her lungs, she insisted on recording the program with her illness and performed the song perfectly.
The music and lyrics for "Fish" were composed by Sun Yanyan and Sun Zhuoran, however, the fit of the lyrics and music is completely invisible to the two of them, and even the music director, YU Chengqing, agreed that the fit was seamless. The song was performed perfectly by singer Yao Beina in the second installment of the program "Hi Song", which is Yao Beina's last song on stage.
