Hu Lancheng (1February 28th, 906-198 1 July 25th, 2006), a modern writer in China, was originally named Hu Jirui, nicknamed Sheng Rui, born in Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province, and the first husband of Zhang Ailing. Hu Lancheng was an auditor in yenching university when he was young, and he was good at writing. Later, he followed Wang Jingwei. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, he became the deputy director of the propaganda department of Wang puppet regime, and was listed as a famous traitor for writing articles for Wang Jingwei.
1940 published a traitorous editorial "It's hard to fight, but it's also difficult to make peace", arguing that "it's not easy to make peace, but it's essential to make peace" during the most difficult period of China's anti-Japanese war, thus clearing the name of Wang Jingwei's traitorous behavior. 1945, the Japanese army was defeated and surrendered, and Hu Lancheng fled to Japan via Hongkong. In his later years, he lived and taught in Taiwan Province Province. His literary talent has influenced some Taiwan Province literati. 1976 was forced to leave Taiwan Province province due to the background of traitors, and died of heart failure in Tokyo on July 25th.
