General situation of Chishui River area
Chishui River is a first-class tributary on the right bank of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It was called Qiu Chi River in ancient times, and it was named Chishui River because of its crimson water. Originated in Yinchang Village, Chishuiyuan Town, Zhenxiong County, Yunnan Province, the main stream flows through Yunnan Province, Guizhou Province and Sichuan Province, with a total length of 442km and a total drainage area of 18807km2. The main stream in the province flows through Luzhou City, with a length of 229km and a drainage area of 5544km2. Chishui River Basin in Sichuan Province involves 1 city, 5 counties and cities, with a permanent population of about 3.078 million.
