Zu Ti (266-321), courtesy name Shi Ya. He was a native of the Disk County of Fanyang, Hebei (present-day Lai Shui, Hebei) (there are rumors that he was born on Yanshan Mountain), and was an ethnic Han Chinese. He was a general of the early Eastern Jin Dynasty of China who aspired to restore the Central Plains by launching a northern expedition. His father, Zu Wu, was the governor of Shanggu (present-day Huailai County, Hebei). At the time of his father's death, Zu Ti was still a child, and his life was taken care of by his elder brothers. Zu Ti's character was lively and cheerful. He was very active and did not like to be quiet. He was fourteen or fifteen years old, but he did not read many books. His older brothers were very worried about him. But he was open-minded, righteous, and a good fighter, and was well received by his neighbors. He often in the name of his elder brother, the family's rice, cloth donated to the poor farmers affected by the disaster, but in fact his brothers did not mean it. The famous story of "Winking Cock and Dancing" is a story about him and Liu Kun. Later, due to the civil unrest in the court, the Northern Expedition failed.
Liu Kun (271-318) was a native of Weichang, Zhongshan (present-day Wuji, Hebei). He was a famous general during the Western Jin Dynasty of China.
