The waves of the Yangtze River have brought out the heroes! Since the first World Cup was held in 1930, there have been a number of classic matches that have made watching them heart-pounding, blood-boiling, and even unforgettable. Unfortunately, however, it was not until the fifth World Cup in 1954 that the television broadcasting mechanism was introduced, and for us latecomers, it was difficult to see some of the earlier matches, but perhaps this is the beauty of regret! Here, I will share with you what I have been able to see, the classics in my mind!
One, the eighth World Cup quarter-final Portugal vs. North Korea 5: 3
Time: June 23, 1966
The eighth World Cup is destined to be an extraordinary World Cup!
Because FIFA insisted on giving only one place to Asia, Africa and Oceania, and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) boycotted the eighth World Cup after its proposal for an additional place was rejected, North Korea made it to this year's World Cup after defeating Australia. The DPRK lost 0:3 to the USSR in the group stage, but paid a heavy price for their arrogance by resting seven of their starters against Italy after a 1:1 draw with Chile! North Korea pushed Italy out of the last eight with a 42nd-minute goal by Doo-Il Park. In the other group, Portugal took advantage of Hungary's kicking injury to Pele to completely send Pele out of this World Cup tournament, but also out of the group. The two teams met in the last eight!
Despite the fact that their opponents eliminated Italy, Portugal was not prepared enough and underestimated the level of North Korea in this rematch. All the players of the DPRK team with abundant physical strength and tenacious fighting spirit to fight in every corner of the field, just 20 minutes after the opening, Portugal was beaten by the DPRK team 3:0! At this critical moment, a great player stood out! He is the greatest player in the history of Portuguese soccer, never afraid of any opponent Eusebio! Eusebio calmed down and believed that they were above the level of the DPRK team and that the key to the bad start was the lack of confidence. After that, Eusebio, in a rare display of great poise, threaded the needle, marshaled the three lines, coordinated the pace of attack and defense, and seized two chances of his own to tie the score at 2:3 at halftime.
Portugal attacked even more aggressively in the second half, and soon after Eusebio's teammate, Ogumu, scored to tie the score. After that, Portugal's morale was boosted, while North Korea's morale was in tatters as the score was reversed, and the North Koreans, who appeared to be overstretched, were no longer able to resist the Portuguese tidal wave of attacks. In Eusebio's leadership, the Portuguese continued to attack, expanding the results, relying on Eusebio himself scored two more goals, the Portuguese team to 5:3 to win.
The game became a classic in the World Cup. North Korea team despite the defeat, not only for Asia, Africa, North America for a ticket, and in the final for the first time in the top eight, changed the concept of hierarchy in the world soccer world, so that the world soccer world of Asian soccer impressed. Eusebio also made Portugal, a small European country, jumped to become a force to be reckoned with in the European soccer world, and he himself ended up with nine goals to become the top scorer of the World Cup, and his name will always remain in the hearts of the world's fans!

The second, the 15th World Cup Quarter-final Brazil vs Denmark 3: 2
Time: July 3, 1998
Knowing that Danish soccer is in the 1984 Euro, familiar with the Danish soccer is in the 1986 World Cup in that Scandinavian storm, marveled at Danish soccer was in 1992 to create that Andersen fairy tale, and in the 1998 World Cup, the Danes left me with that artistic classic!
If the initiator of the Nordic storm in 1986 was Elkjerg and Big Laudrup, and the one who wrote Andersen's fairy tale in 1992 was Schmeichel and Little Laudrup, then the 1998 World Cup, the big and small Laudrup's joint performances left in my heart is a breathtaking masterpiece!
After Denmark knocked out the African Eagles, Nigeria, in a match that was a delight to watch, on July 3, 1998, they met Brazil, the favorites to win the World Cup, in the quarterfinals. The Brazilians were on a roll, with a virtually impregnable attacking line led by the likes of Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Bebeto, who scored 10 goals in their first four matches! But instead of being conservative, Denmark, led by the Laudrup brothers, went toe-to-toe with the Brazilians right from the start, and a thrilling game unfolded!
Jorgensen opened the scoring just two minutes into the match, giving Denmark a fantastic start. However, the Brazilians then launched a frantic counter-attack. Just under 10 minutes later, Bebeto leveled the score at 1-1. When the game reached the 27th minute, Rivaldo showed his skill on the ball. He got a great pass from Ronaldo, made a slick trip to control the ball into the penalty area, and then pushed a shot from a small angle into the face of a defender and the goalkeeper's block! 2:1 Brazil put the score beyond the reach of the goal!
In the second half, the Danish team was organized by the Laudrup brothers, and the attacking force once overshadowed the Brazilian team. In the 50th minute, little Laudrup seized a mistake of Brazilian defender Carlos's barb, really inserted into the penalty area, facing the attacking Tafarel, calmly put the ball into the goal! 2:2! A touching scene appeared after this goal! The excited young Laudrup ran to the edge of the field and lay down on the grass, lying on his upper body on his side and resting his left hand on his cheek, announcing to the world that Hans Christian Andersen's Sleeping Beauty had woken up!!!!
However, the game was brutal, and in the 60th minute, it was Rivaldo again, running outside the penalty area, who fired a beautiful grounded shot right into the corner, giving Brazil a 3:2 win. It finally declared the end of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale!
Despite the loss to Brazil, this game truly illustrated the fairytale creativity of the Danes! After watching the Norwegian's lackluster punch and Sweden's rigid defensive counterattacks, the Danes brought us a fairytale-like soccer full of charm!

Three, the tenth World Cup final Netherlands vs. new strategic tactic - the all-out attack and defense, the third technological revolution in soccer history. After knocking out defending champions Brazil 2:0 in the semifinals, the Dutch, led by Cruyff, were on their way to the highest World Cup honor! And their final opponents are the hosts, the Federal Republic of Germany.
At the start, the Dutch team played a dazzling cooperation, until Cruyff finally got the ball to break into the penalty area by the inexorable German put down, and then to Neskens penalty kick to 1:0 lead, only 55 seconds from the start of the game, creating a record of the fastest goal in the history of the World Cup tournament at the time, and even more incredible is that all the way to the end of the goal, the Germans were on the field did not even touch the ball! The German team was not shocked by the fact that they had not even touched the ball! However, the West German team did not panic, continue to rigorous and orderly game. 25 minutes, the West German team also got a penalty kick opportunity, by Brytner manipulation hit, to return the color. 43 minutes, the West German team shot machine Muller in 12 meters after the ball turned and shot, the ball grazed the post and into the eventual West Germany for the second time to get the glittering World Cup.
The final showdown between the Dutch and West Germans was undoubtedly a white-hot affair, with the English referee first giving the Dutch a penalty kick, which striker Nickens converted with a shot just 55 seconds into the match, setting a record for the fastest goal in World Cup history. However, the Germans quickly saved themselves with their characteristic indomitable spirit. 25 minutes in, the West Germans also got a good chance to take a penalty kick, which was taken by Breitner, equalizing the score. 43 minutes in, West Germany's goal machine Muller again seized the opportunity to get the ball 12 meters in front of the goal and then turned and shot the ball into the net, the Germans led the first half with 2:1. In the second half, the Netherlands, who were trailing in the score, broke into a full-on comeback, but the West German players were united in their determination to preserve the victory and win the World Cup once again.
While he didn't win the World Cup, Dutch leader Cruyff was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, while West Germany's Müller scored only four goals in this year's World Cup, but he has scored 14 goals in the two cups he has played in***, making him the highest scorer in the history of the World Cup tournament so far.

Fourth, the fifteenth World Cup tournament quarter-final Brazil vs. the Netherlands 3: 2
Time: July 9, 1994
The fifteenth World Cup tournament was held in the U.S. in 1994 in the World Cup, which was surrounded by violence and scandal. On July 9, 1994 at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, two great teams met early in the quarterfinals. Many thought the battle between Brazil and the Netherlands was more deserving of a championship final. Because some people were looking forward to Brazilian glory, but also did not want to see the most beautiful team in Europe at that time - the Netherlands was eliminated too early; while others hoped that the Dutch team could say goodbye to the "uncrowned king" title at the same time did not want to be in the quarter-finals of the Brazilian team, but the fact is so cruel, the two representatives of the attacking style of play had to meet in the quarter-finals of the championship. The two representatives of the offensive style of play had to meet too early!
Sure enough, the two teams began to play offensive soccer at the start of the game, and although neither team was able to knock down the other's goal in the first half, the two sides went back and forth, attacking and defending in an orderly fashion. After the change of ground, the Brazilian team set off a wave of offense, Romário, Bebeto mutual cooperation, help each other companion Lee scored a goal, Brazil two goals ahead! At this point, the game has entered the middle of the second half, two goals ahead of the Brazilian team seems to be winning. But the Dutch organized a crazy counterattack at this time, Bergkamp's shot and Winter's header to equalize the score, the Brazilian fans were quiet, while the Dutch fans turned from silence to cheers. At that moment, Brazil won a free kick more than 30 meters away from the goal, replacing Leonardo's veteran Blanco with a powerful low ball, through the wall into the dead corner of the Dutch gate! The Brazilian fans erupted in silence. !!!! In the end, Brazil eliminated the Netherlands and made it to the quarterfinals of the World Cup after 16 years!
And another thing worth mentioning is that after Bebeto scored his second goal of the game, Romário and Zinho ran to the sideline with him and ****ed the famous "cradle" celebration for his newborn child! This celebratory gesture has since become a goal celebratory gesture that many players have followed, and has become a classic in goal celebratory gestures!

Fifth, the sixteenth World Cup 1/8 finals Argentina vs England 6: 5
Time: June 30, 1998
The sixteenth World Cup was held in France in 1998, and the Cup's participation was expanded from 24 to 32 teams for the first time. For the first time, the number of teams expanded from 24 to 32, and in this World Cup, two old enemies, Argentina and England, met again. In this year's World Cup, Argentina has changed the conservative impression it gave people in 1990, and played its group games to the fullest, scoring seven goals in three matches without conceding a single goal. England, on the other hand, has finally made great progress after taking the road of technologization, and the fusion of body and technology has made their soccer even more beautiful to watch. So whichever team was eliminated, it was a loss for the World Cup. What's more, Hoddle, England's manager at the time, was a member of the team that played in the 1986 World Cup match in Mexico, and the best-ever goal scored by Maradona was scored by him, so there is also a sense of revenge for Hoddle in this match!
The first 10 minutes of the match were dramatic! In the first five minutes, Argentina's Simone dribbled into the penalty area, England's goalkeeper Seaman tackled him and was penalized by Danish referee Nielsen, and Batty's penalty made the Argentine's first attack a success! But five minutes later, only 18-year-old Owen got the ball into the opponent's box, causing Argentina's Ayala to foul, also won a penalty kick, Shearer hit the knife, equalized 1:1.
After that, the game came to a climax! Beckham made an accurate long pass, Owen used his speed to shake off Argentine defender No. 3 Chamotte, and then dished past No. 2 Ayala to meet the Argentine keeper before he could strike, and then fired a right-footed shot from inside the penalty area into the upper right corner of the net.
After the loss of the Argentine team attacked, in the first half of stoppage time, Argentina won a free kick in front of the field, Batty false cover, Perón looks like a shot, but straight into the ambush in the middle of the left side of the penalty area, Zanetti, who did not know what to do, the English can only look at the dumbfounded no one watched Zanetti's left-footed shot to equalize the score. This goal and tactical arrangement is enough to be included in the textbooks of soccer!
In the second half, Beckham's nonchalance and Simeone's fake play became another classic memory in history. After Beckham's red card, England were at a disadvantage but very resilient! There was even a header by Campbell just before the end, but it was ruled a foul and the goal was disallowed! And so the match went through extra time and into a penalty shootout!
In the first round, Argentina's Berti and England's Shearer both flicked on, totaling 3:3; in the second round, Crespo and Ince's strikes were both parried, leaving the score still at 3:3; and after the next two rounds, with both sides hitting, the score went up to 5:5, and then the crucial fifth round began! After Argentina's Ayala hit the first shot, England's fifth player, Batty, had his shot taken out by the Argentinean goalkeeper!
Two dramatic penalties, two beautiful goals, exaggerated performances and the cost of a youthful red card, and a thrilling penalty shootout, a match that concentrates so many crowd-pleasing elements is definitely a rarity in World Cup history!

Sixth, thirteenth World Cup Quarter-final Argentina vs England 2: 1
Time: June 22, 1986
The so-called "Hand of God The so-called "Hand of God" and "Goal of the Century" have long been popular soccer stories, and they both came from the same game! In the quarterfinals of the 1986 World Cup, Argentina and England, two very different teams with a long history of enmity, wrote a memorable history in Mexico City.
The two countries had become political enemies due to the Battle of the Isle of Man, and on the soccer field, the Argentines wanted to avenge the battlefield! Therefore, after the opening kickoff, the double on soon started a fierce struggle! First of all, Beardsley received Hoddle pass a fast direct ball into the penalty area, goalkeeper Pompidou slipped, so that Beardsley directly facing the goal, but his shot hit the side netting. Maradona then punished a curling shot from 25 yards out that grazed the post.
The controversy came six minutes into the second half !!!! On the right side of the England penalty area, Baldano's pass was shoveled by an England defender, the ball changed direction and flew high, Maradona suddenly intervened, jumped up and struck the ball with his hand over the head of Hilton, who had already attacked, and flew into the net! The Tunisian referee awards the goal!!! England protest ineffective !!!!
And just when England hadn't recovered from this unexpected blow, an even better scene appeared!!! Maradona he picked up the ball in his own half and started to carry the ball from the right, he ran past Hoddle, dodged Beardsley and Reid's tackles to advance quickly, got rid of the other two England defenders, Fenwick and Butcher, swung past Hilton, and slotted the ball straight into the goal, making the score 2-0 in the 55th minute. The Goal of the Century! " was born !!!!!!
But England did not give up. In the 70th minute, Barnes came on to make England's offense even sharper. In the 81st minute, Barnes broke through on the left flank and passed to Reinke, who scored his sixth goal of the tournament, rekindling hope in the hearts of the English! Barnes made another break down the wing in the 86th minute, the same break that brought England back into the game, and Reinker was at the other end again, but this time it was the goalposts that saved Argentina again!!!!
In this game, Barnes, who came on as a substitute for 20 minutes, made all six breakthroughs, shot once in the goal box, and made three passes which all resulted in shots, including one assist, thus establishing Barnes as a starter in the national team. Rheinckel also became the top scorer of the World Cup with his sixth goal of the game. All of this, however, pales into insignificance in the face of Maradona's two goals that could go down in history! In every sense of the word, the match was one of the best in World Cup history !!!!

Seven, the 12th World Cup rematch Italy vs Brazil 3: 2
After a two-year-long ban for match-fixing, Paolo Rossi realized his dream and that of all the Italian fans with this match! The Bealzot-led Italians challenged the Santana-led Brazilians for a place in the semifinals. In the group stage, Brazil won all three matches and scored 10 goals, while the Italians failed to win a single match in the group stage and barely made it out of the group stage due to the number of goals they scored. Before this match, Italy could only advance if they won, while Brazil, the favorites, only needed a draw to get out of the group stage. Undoubtedly, the more favored team is Brazil!
The engagement had just begun and the two sides were engaged in a fierce battle, with the heavy pressure of the game having to be interrupted by fouls on a regular basis. Zico and his teammates took the initiative on the field, but the Italians were the first to get the effect.
Just five minutes had elapsed when Cabrini, receiving a pass from a fellow player on the right, spotted Rossi running towards the penalty area in time to deliver an extremely accurate cross, and Rossi opened the scoring with a beautiful header!
In order to equalize the score Brazil started to press hard. In the 10th minute, Brazilian striker Sergio missed a good opportunity when he deflected the ball against keeper Zoff; a minute later, Leandro stirred up the Italians' defense with his unique personal breakthrough, but Zoff solved the danger. Meanwhile, the Italians used their masterful defensive counterattacking tactics, and Rossi created a chance for teammate Graziani to extend the lead, but the latter sent his near-post shot wide!
Good chances missed are hard to come by! Socrates' shot in the 12th minute brought the two sides back on the same page, and the Brazilians showed no sign of letting up and continued to put pressure on the opponents' goal, with the Italians' defense getting a bit disorganized, and in the 13th minute, Gentile shanked Zico with a vicious move, for which he received his first yellow card of the match. The Brazilians were able to keep their opponents inside their half, but in the 25th minute a careless move by a defender put them in trouble again. Defender Leandro was so negligent in his own back pass that he kicked the ball straight at Paulo Rossi without any players pressing! The quick-witted striker intercepted the ball and scored with a powerful shot, leaving Brazil to resume a race to chase down their rivals!
The game seemed to be repeating itself, with the Brazilians, after conceding the goal, attacking around the penalty area through brilliant passes and skillful play, while the Italians, led by captain Zoff, defended their narrow advantage. In the 41st minute, Zico broke into the penalty area with the ball, Gentile had no choice but to pull him down, but because of the force, he actually tore Zico's jersey, but the referee signaled the game to continue ......
The soccer stars of the two teams showed their abilities in the second half, and every minute of the game was tense and intense, with chances appearing frequently, yet always ruthlessly slipping through the feet of the players. The crowd was enjoying themselves as Brazil continued to take the offensive initiative, while Italy calmly waited for an opportunity to strike a blow.
Just two minutes into the second half, Falcao had a great chance to equalize, but his shot slipped through the goal; Serginho's one-touch shot was once again denied by Zoff; Cerezo received a great pass from Junior to hit the right-footed goal, and the ball flew straight to the corner of the ball, but this time, the post helped the Italian team, and the South Americans were once again unable to come back. ...... But finally, Brazil equalized! Falcao received a pass from Junior on the right, and at the same time Cerezo made a covering run to open up the space. Falcao made a fake pass, and then took a trip forward to shake off a defender and fired a shot past Zoff into the corner of the goal, and the two teams were on the same starting line again!
Brazil could have made it to the quarterfinals with a draw, but the players didn't seem to have Italy in their sights, and their desire to attack didn't drop off, but their poor back line dealt them another blow! In the 74th minute a Brazilian defender returned a pass and keeper Perez tapped the ball off the line with no one there to force it, giving Italy a corner kick opportunity on the right. Tardelli took the corner and the Brazilian defender grabbed the first drop and headed the ball out of the box. When the ball was kicked back to the penalty area, the ball was very close to the goal and even closer to Brazilian goalkeeper Perez, but his movement was very slow, and as soon as it was said and done, Paolo Rossi, the amazing goal scorer appeared like a ghost, and grabbed the ball before the goalkeeper and put it in the net, completing his hat-trick of the game!!!!
Brazil, trailing for the third time and with little time left on the clock, had no choice but to go for it. The Italians are pulling back on all cylinders, desperately trying to fend off their opponents' furious attacks. Even so, the Brazilians had the potential to change their fortunes, with Santana's men creating several scoring chances in the closing moments of the game. But in the end, under Zoff's leadership, the Italians beat the Brazilians, who were the favorite to win the tournament, and advanced to the semifinals, where Paolo Rossi became a star and eventually helped the Italians win the world championship trophy!
The 1982 World Cup, which was first broadcast live on CCTV, was the first time Chinese fans felt the impact of the World Series up close! In this World Cup, many Chinese fans have to find their favorite team, especially Brazil, which was the favorite of Chinese fans at the time! In this game after the Brazilian team was eliminated from the game, many Chinese fans are shedding tears; and see Zico hand holding has been torn jersey, gloomy out of the ball injury shots, but also let countless favorite Brazil, favorite Zico's fans of the heart broken like that jersey can not be sewn!!!!

Eight, the ninth World Cup semifinal West Germany vs Italy 3: 4
June 17, 1970
Those who remember the 1970 semifinal of the old fans will not forget this one of the most dramatic matches ever! It was also a showdown between two formations - a concrete defense and inspired forwards!
The 1970 World Cup semi-final between Italy and West Germany was an exceptionally hard-fought and thrilling rain-soaked match that lasted 120 minutes. In the 8th minute of the first half, Italy's Boninsegna and Riva played a beautiful two-on-one in a fast counterattack, and then the former took the lead with a powerful shot from 16 meters away, 1:0!
The Germans then started a counterattack, in which Ovilas' shot hit the crossbar. But overall Italy's defense was tight and the 1:0 scoreline was maintained until the end of the match in stoppage time. But it was in the final moments that the West Germans' resilience was once again amazing! Schneeringer's header from the penalty spot in the 90th minute sent the game into extra time.
West Germany's legendary scorer Gerd Müller scored the first goal of the extra time, before Italy's Brnich equalized three minutes later, and then Italy's Riva scored another goal to take the lead again. But it didn't last long as Muller helped West Germany equalize again. With a penalty shootout on the horizon, Italy's legendary Rivera scored one more goal, and finally locked the score at 4:3, the Italians broke into the final in a state of shock. And the record of five goals scored in extra time, set in this match, still seems so far-fetched.
The most memorable part of the match, which was once called "the best game of the 20th century," was not the goals, but the iron will of the German team led by soccer emperor Franz Beckenbauer! Beckenbauer dislocated his shoulder in the 65th minute, but what is even more incredible is that he did not come off the field to rest, but put on a bandage, hanging arm to continue to fight, really to the last moment of the game! At the end of the game, after 2 hours of fighting under the scorching Mexican sun, both players collapsed on the ground exhausted, while the audience silently expressed unlimited respect to both sides in a silence, because this is a real battle between men!
Beckenbauer is undoubtedly one of the greatest figures in the history of soccer, both as a player and a coach. His reinterpretation of the role of the "free man" is also an important one in the history of soccer!

Nine, the twelfth World Cup semi-final Germany vs France 8: 7
Time: July 8, 1982
The twelfth World Cup was held in Spain in 1982, and the final stage of the Cup was expanded from 16 teams for the first time. was expanded from 16 to 24 teams for the first time.
Africa's Algeria made a sensational start to the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Germany, who were considered the "favorites" to win the tournament, in their opening group match! But the Germans stumbled along the way, but finally made it to the quarterfinals, where they met France in the semifinals. The West Germans, who had Rummenigge, Litbarski, Fischer and Hrubesch as their stars, were considered the favorites to win the Cup, while the French were impressed by the outstanding play of Platini, who is known as the "king of free kicks," at the center of the midfield triangle!
West Germany's Litbarski took the lead in the first half, breaking the French goal, but shortly thereafter Germany's goalkeeper Schumacher, out of the penalty area, committed a serious foul on France's Batiston, not only broke the other side's incisors, and caused the other side to go down with a concussion, but the referee did not show any warning! Later, after Platini's penalty kick equalized the score, both sides had nothing more to play for and had to play a 30-minute extended period. In extra time, France, who play a magnificent game, suddenly came out of nowhere, scoring two goals in the opening eight minutes by Trezzo and Giresse, and by this time anyone would have thought that France would go through to the final!
But always known as tough and tenacious West Germany, this time but let go to do a fight to the death, due to the previous game and the injury Rummenigge critical orders, with injuries on the field, after only four minutes, Rummenigge in the penalty area shot for the West German team to equalize a point, the Germans are encouraged, more and more courageous, in the 108th minute, Fischer received a pass from a teammate inside the penalty area with a skillful shocking aerial hook! The goal tied the game for the West Germans.
The two sides were tied 3-3 in 120 minutes! The first penalty shootout in World Cup history was all that was needed!
The Germans, with nerves of steel, had the last laugh in a brutal penalty shootout! Hrubesch's kick sealed the deal, and the Federal Republic of Germany beat France 8-7 to reach the final!

Ten, thirteenth World Cup Quarter-final Brazil vs France 4: 5
Time: June 21, 1986
Since 1958, more than 30 years later, regardless of which World Cup, the Brazilian team is always the favorite to win. the favorite to win the title, and this year is no exception. The other big favorite is France, who are holding on to their Euro 84 title and want to have a taste of the World Cup wine. Both sides of the lineup can be said to be luxurious, the Brazilian lineup has Zico, Socrates, Falcao, Junior, Kareka, Muller and a number of other stars, while the French lineup has a day in the life of Platini, he and Tigana, Girrellser, formed by the iron triangle of the midfield in 1984 in Europe invulnerable to all the winners of the line to win the European Cup! What's more, both teams were representatives of flamboyant, artistic soccer, delivering pleasing matches that were unforgettable for countless fans.
Shortly after the start, Brazil, with their good sense of ball control, took the lead in breaking through the gate guarded by Batts after a series of dazzling cooperation in front of the French penalty area, with Carreca receiving the ball at the top of the gourd and shooting with his foot. France did not panic after the loss, calmly looked for an opportunity and equalized with a left-footed shot by Platini at the far post from a pass on the right, breaking Brazilian goalkeeper Carlos' record of 401 minutes without conceding a goal in this World Cup.
After that, the two sides were locked in a stalemate, but the spectacle remained exciting. Toward the end of the second half, Brazil created a penalty kick opportunity in the penalty area, but Zico, who had just come on for two minutes due to injury, let France's goalkeeper Batts pounce on the shot and missed a good opportunity to set the tone. It is said that before this, a generation of superstar Zico has scored 99 consecutive penalty kicks, but it is the 100th penalty kick that makes him regret his life!
The 1-1 scoreline in extra time was not changed, so the winner had to be decided by a brutal exchange of penalties. In this thrilling penalty shootout, another Brazilian superstar, Socrates, and France's legendary Platini missed in unthinkable succession; but this time, God was on the side of the French team! Also hitting the post, the French shot bounced off the Brazilian keeper and bounced into the goal again, and despite a challenge from the Brazilian player, the referee deemed the goal valid (and FIFA later amended the rules for reciprocal penalty kicks to allow such goals); while Brazil's Júnior's shot that hit the post bounced off the post. France eliminated Brazil from the quarterfinals, 5-4, in the match of the century.
This game, which FIFA professionals called the most classic game in the history of the World Cup, fully demonstrated to the people of the two teams' extraordinary skill and tenacity, and the ups and downs of the process is always heart-wrenching. It can be said that the game is the pinnacle of artistic soccer, many people who have seen the game, so far, when you think of that game, everything seems to be still in front of !!!!
