This short film is fluent in narrative, rich in plot, intense in conflict, dignified in theme and touching. If the time is extended, it will be an excellent feature film.
There is another important factor that makes Riding the Wind stand out. The story is adapted from real history, in which the main characters have historical prototypes, and even the names in their movies are consistent with history.
Jason Wu, Ma Renxing, captain of Jizhong cavalry.
Li Guangjie-Wang Nairong was then the political commissar of Jizhong Cavalry Corps.
Yu Ailei-Song Futing was then the deputy head of Jizhong Cavalry Corps.
Leo-Ma Chengfeng, the eldest son of Ma Renxing, was then a signal soldier of Jizhong Cavalry Corps.
Not only are people real, but many details in Riding the Wind are also real.
At the beginning of the film, Ma Renxing and his cavalry are harvesting corn in the cornfield. From the outside, this is a group of farmers. 194 1 autumn, Jizhong cavalry regiment helped farmers cultivate wheat in the Hutuo River area in the east of Raoyang city, and cavalry became farmers, and war horses became ploughing horses.
Ma Renxing's mount is a beautiful ocean horse "Big Boss". In fact, this name is well known, because it may be the favorite horse of General Lv Zhengcao, commander of Jizhong Military Region. In history, in order to enhance the combat effectiveness of the Cavalry Corps, General Lv Zhengcao gave his favorite ocean horse to the Cavalry Corps, which may be the reason. In the movie, Ma Renxing called this horse "the big boss".
Of course, the core of the story of riding the wind is the real heroes in history, Ma Renxing and riding the wind.
A, Ma Renxing died in the northeast.
Ma Renxing, 1904, from Houzhangfan Village, Pingxiang County, Hebei Province. His father is a village teacher. Ma Renxing 15 years old joined the Third Huncheng Brigade of Shaanxi Army as a soldier, so Jason Wu had a line in the film: When I was in Huncheng Brigade,
1926 During the Northern Expedition, Ma Renxing graduated from Kaifeng Military Academy and served as a propagandist of the Political Department of the Military Region. 1930 was promoted to chief of staff of the third cavalry division.
During the Central Plains War, Ma Renxing joined the Central Army camp with the old chief Pang Bingxun. After the September 18th Incident, Ma Renxing was downsized due to the direct conflict between the Third Cavalry Division and the Kuomintang. Ma Renxing was also demoted to the head of the 28th Cavalry Regiment. Everything has a bright side, and Ma Renxing also got the opportunity to directly command the army.
1938, Ma Renxing secretly joined the China * * * Production Party. 1940, in order to rescue two underground party member, Ma Renxing's identity was almost exposed, causing suspicion. 1April, 940, decisively led the whole regiment1more than 600 people to join the Eighth Route Army, and its Ministry was the Second Cavalry Corps.
The story of "riding the wind" took place during Ma Renxing's tenure as the head of the Second Cavalry Corps. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Ma Renxing was promoted to the division commander of the first division of Jinsui, so the correspondent called him "Commander Ma Renxing" at the end of "Riding the Wind".
1945, Ma Renxing entered the northeast with General Lv Zhengcao and became the brigade commander of Baoyi. 1946, he led his troops to conquer Siping, an important town in the northeast, and was immediately appointed as the commander of Siping garrison headquarters, responsible for commanding Siping's defense and attacking the new army, one of the five main forces of the Kuomintang.
From 65438 to 0947, Ma Renxing served as the commander of the Independent First Division of the Northeast Democratic Allied Forces. In the same year, he led the troops to attack Siping. On June 23, he was killed by a stray bullet while commanding the battle. He was one of the highest-ranking generals who died in the northeast battlefield.
In order to commemorate General Ma Renxing, a monument to General Ma Renxing was built in Baicheng City, Northeast China, and Sidao Street in Siping City was named "Renxing Street".
Ma Renxing, played by Jason Wu in Walking with the Wind, is very brave. If it is more refined, it may be closer to General Ma Renxing in history.
Second, Ma Chengfeng was buried in Baoding, Hebei Province.
According to the convention of the old society, Ma Renxing got married at the age of 15, and gave birth to his eldest son Ma Chengfeng at the age of 16, so Ma Chengfeng should have been born in 1920.
Leo's actual age in "Riding the Wind" is the same as that of Ma's "Riding the Wind" when he died, both of them are 22 years old. Some viewers may think that Jason Wu and Leo look more like uncles than fathers and sons. In fact, General Ma Renxing is 16 years older than his eldest son. Jason Wu and Leo are perfect for each other.
When General Ma Renxing led the uprising, the underground party also pulled Ma Chengfeng to Ma Renxing's side, and then Ma Chengfeng went to Kangda to study. After returning, he served as a communication staff in Jizhong Cavalry Corps. Therefore, in Riding the Wind, Ma Chengfeng not only serves as a correspondent but also runs a radio station, which is the true reappearance of history.
In the May Day raid of 1942, the cavalry regiment in Jizhong could have escaped quickly. After all, they have the advantage of speed. However, in order to protect the organs and divert the masses, the cavalry regiment was divided into several roads to serve as bait and cover.
Among them, political commissar Wang Nairong (Li Guangjie) led Erlian to be seriously injured in the encounter in Beihao Village, Anping County. He didn't want to be caught and shot himself.
Song Futing, deputy head of the Cavalry Corps, led the three companies "Baima Company" to Yechenzuo Village, Bao Xu Town, Li County, Baoding, Hebei Province on the Zhu Long River. Because the traitors sold the army, they were besieged by the Japanese army.
In the fierce battle, Baimalian broke through in the direction of the river bank, but Japanese machine gun positions were ambushed. The fearless cavalry raised their sabres and launched a deadly charge. Soldiers and military horses were constantly knocked down by machine guns, and other soldiers rushed to the Japanese machine gun positions and hacked the Japanese machine gunners with sabres, enabling a large group of troops to break through.
The whole battle lasted only a few minutes. As soon as the Japanese army left, people from Yechenzuocun rushed to the battlefield, and a * * * found the bodies of eight Eighth Route Army soldiers. They didn't leave their names. The villagers only found a diploma in a soldier's coat pocket, but his name was dyed red with blood.
After Deputy Chief Song Futing broke through, he found Chief Ma Renxing and reported the situation to him. Among the eight martyrs who died along the Zhu Long River, Ma Chengfeng was a soldier with a diploma from the Anti-Japanese University. He died on the way to the Japanese machine gun position.
Colonel Ma Renxing was silent for two minutes after hearing Song Futing's report, and then greeted everyone to continue the meeting.
Organized by the local government in Lixian County, Baoding, villagers found coffins to sort out the remains of martyrs and buried them in Zhulong River. Because there is no name, these eight connected tombs are called "White Horse Eight Martyrs Tomb" by local people. Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, local people and students visit the graves of martyrs.
Colonel Ma Renxing knew the place of his son's sacrifice and burial, but he didn't even have the time and opportunity to take a look. After General Ma Renxing died, his family didn't know where Ma Chengfeng was buried.
Ma Chengfeng was only 22 when he died. He is young and promising. Maybe he can be a bright star like his father.
During the May Day raid, Jizhong Cavalry Corps 1200 people, and finally less than 400 people survived. Most of the heads were killed in the battle. With the sacrifice of General Ma Renxing, the history of this heroic army was gradually submerged in the long river of history.
Thanks to the creators of "Braving the Wind and Waves", they dug up this period of history and this group of heroes from history again, and let us know that there were such a lovely group of people in this world.
