The yak is an animal with regional characteristics on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. During its long history, it once became the survival of the Tibetan people. Therefore, the Tibetan people have deep feelings for the yak in their lives. The dance "Ox Back Cradle" is based on the intimate relationship between the Tibetan people and the yak.
It creates a vivid image of a Tibetan girl living and playing with yaks played by two male dancers, showing the harmonious relationship between man, nature and animals. This work was first performed in 1997 and won the 7th Peacock Cup Ethnic Dance Bise Award. In 1999, it won the Silver Award for the first Chinese Dance Lotus Award.

In the work, the male dancer’s arms are the horns of an ox, and his forward-flexing upper body is the back of an ox. A little girl in a red Tibetan robe sits cross-legged and lies on her side on the back of a cow, accompanied by rocking movements, showing the harmonious coexistence between people and nature in snowy Tibetan areas. In 1998, he won the silver medal of the first "Lotus Award" for his works.
