Have you ever been to Venice, what's the best thing about it?

The nightlife in Venice is a lot more subdued than that in the big cities of Rome and Milan. There are only a few discos and nightclubs on the main island of Venice, but bars of all sizes are scattered in the alleyways, so there's no need to worry about where to go at night. The area between Piazza San Marco and the Ponte Reato is the liveliest, and as night falls, the canals are lined with restaurants and bars with twinkling lights, making for a warm and welcoming scene. These bars, and restaurants with bars, are usually open until 4am or later.
