Location: Zhenyuan County belongs to the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, and is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River system and the southeastern part of Guizhou, in the midst of the lofty mountains and peaks in the eastern part of the Guizhou Plateau, in the remnants of the Wuling Mountains. It is located at the border of Huaihua, Tongren and Qiandongnan regions of Hunan-Guizhou provinces, where five counties meet.
