Hulunbeier Grassland is located on the Hulunbeier Plateau in the northeast of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the west of Daxing 'anling Mountains. It is named after Hulun Lake and Bell Lake. [1] The overall terrain is high in the east and low in the west, with an altitude of 650-700 meters, a width of about 350 kilometers from east to west and a length of about 300 kilometers from north to south, with a total area of about 1 13000 square kilometers (1490,000 mu), of which the available grassland area is 8,333,300 hectares. [1-2][20] Hulunbeier grassland is a world-famous natural pasture, one of the four largest grasslands in the world, and is known as the best grassland in the world. Hulunbeier grassland is the birthplace of many ancient civilizations and nomadic peoples. Donghu, Xiongnu, Xianbei, Shiwei, Uighur, Turkic, Qidan, Jurchen, Mongolia and other ethnic groups. It thrives here and is praised by historians as "the cradle of nomadic people in northern China", occupying a high position in world history.
