Chen Sisi, born on December 28, 1976 in Changde, Hunan Province, China's young female singer, a national-level actress, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a member of the Standing Committee of the All-China Youth Federation (AYF), a representative of the 10th National People's Congress (NPC); currently the deputy director of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Army's Political Department's Cultural and Technical Corps (CCTC) and a member of the State Council's Special Governmental Allowance.
Chen Si Si debuted on the singing scene in 1994 and won the silver medal in the CCTV China MTV Competition. 1999, she was specially recruited into the army and became a singing actress in the Civilian Troupe of the Political Department of the Second Artillery of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). 2005, she was assessed as a national-level actress by the General Political Department of the PLA. 2006, she was awarded the "Best Folk Singers Award" by the CCTV-MTV "Music Grand Festival". "On September 5, 2008, Chen Si Si successfully held the only solo concert in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Cultural Festival in the form of public welfare in the National Grand Theatre of China; in the same year, she was awarded the "International Charity Celebrity" award in 2008. On October 31st, 2009, Cecilia Chen held "The Road to Beauty - Cecilia Chen's Taipei Concert" at the Founding Father's Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. 2010 CCTV Spring Festival Gala Song "Song of Joy in the World" was awarded the Special Award for Outstanding Contribution to the World Environmental Protection in Asia-Pacific Region in 2010 by the World Environmental Protection Organization (WEPO). In April 2013, Sisi Chen was officially appointed as a visiting professor by Southwest University for Nationalities.
On March 2, 2016, Chen Sisi, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), reported to the Beijing Convention Center to participate in the 2016 National People's Congress, where she brought a proposal on square dancing.
