Ménigoute is a small, peaceful town in southwest France. The rich water resources of the Isle Noire, the Brane Reservoir and the marshes of the Bay of Poitiers have made Ménigoute, far from the hustle and bustle, a paradise for birds. Since 1985, an annual animal film festival has been held. Starting from the initial theme of birds, the Menigut Animal Film Festival has gradually become an international festival, covering all animal and environmental categories, with films involving birds, marine animals, land animals, water protection, forest protection and all other topics related to natural ecology, and its long history of 23 years has made Menigut enjoy the reputation of being a "small Cannes" in the animal film industry. The 23-year history of Ménigoute has given it the reputation of being the "Little Cannes" in the world of animal cinema. Since 2006, the French Menigault Animal Film Festival went out of the country for the first time to look for partners, Ya'an entered the vision of the French Menigault Animal Film Festival for its unique geographical location, natural environment, ecological culture and the discovery of pandas, the production of the first panda model specimen of the special history, and became the first cooperation with the French Menigault Film Festival city.
Exhibiting Films
Starting from July 12, 2007, in a week's time, 20 films on the theme of animals and nature, which have never been screened in China, were shown in many theaters, scenic spots, squares, and places where the public gathers in Ya'an for the first time to meet with the Chinese audience. 20 animal films, which for the first time show the mystery of the animal world with vivid pictures and angles, were also shown. These include excellent foreign films such as "Emperor Penguin Diary" and "Migrating Birds". At the same time, the organizing committee also for the whole of China to collect and screen by Chinese filmmakers shot by the animal and nature films, recommended to France Menigault Animal Film Festival to participate in the evaluation, to show China's rich flora and fauna resources and environmental protection status quo.
About the event
The second China-Ya'an Panda-Animal and Nature Film Week was held in Ya'an on August 19th, 2009. The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China (SARFT), the China Film Archive (CFA), and the Association for the Promotion of French-Chinese Exchanges (APF) supported the first edition of the week, and then assisted with the hosting of and preparations for the second edition of the week.
The second China-Ya'an Panda-Animals and Nature Film Week will continue the theme of the first edition and build on the success of the first edition by expanding the scale of the films to be screened and updating the content of the program. The activities related to the 2nd China-Ya'an Panda-Animal and Nature Movie Week are currently expected to include: "Panda Provincial Relatives - World Panda Reunion", movie screening and selection activities, Human-Animal and Nature Image Summit Forum, Animal and Nature Photography Exhibition and Movie Week Press Conference, " The second session of the "World Panda Reunion" will be held in Ya'an, China, from April 18th to April 19th.
The 2nd China-Ya'an Panda-Animal and Nature Film Week also works closely with the French Menigault Animal Film Festival and the Planet in Focus International Environmental Film Festival in Canada.

2010 The 3rd China-Ya'an Panda-Animals and Nature Film Week was held in Ya'an, China, from August 1 to 7, 2008. The film week, which was originally scheduled to be held in 2008, was postponed to 2009 because of the Wenchuan Earthquake.
The 3rd China Ya'an International Panda-Animal and Nature Film Festival opened in Ya'an, Sichuan Province, on August 1, 2010. After a short launching ceremony, more than 20,000 spectators joined together to watch a star-studded, large-scale song concert. The festival was held from August 1 to 7, during which 35 films from home and abroad were screened, as well as activities such as celebrity adoption of pandas.
Zhang Xinche and Sun Nan sang at the festival, and Sun Yanzi sang at the festival. Zhang Xinzhe's appearance, set off the scene of the first climax, high interest in his performance of "do not say to her", "white moonlight", "too much to love you" three songs, each song's tender interpretation can make the audience into the mood of the song to go. Sun Nan brought the audience "Flying Red Flag" and "See No Evil" with his high and clear voice. The second climax of the concert came with the appearance of Sun Yanzi, whose voice drew screams from the audience and many of them stood up and danced to the melody. Although her voice was a bit hoarse due to a cold and cough, she still brought two fast-paced songs, "Ben" and "Green Light", which made the atmosphere of the venue explosive, and then presented the audience with a slow song, "Meet".
On the evening of August 7, 2010, the week-long Third China-Ya'an International Panda-Animals and Nature Film Week came to an end at the Shawan Stadium in Ya'an. The Closing Ceremony, as the end of the activities of that movie week, raised the heat of the week to the highest point with many different forms and many different links. After a week of film screenings and expert judging, 40 animal and nature films from China and around the world competed for top honors in six categories, with outstanding films being shortlisted and winning films being unveiled at the closing ceremony.

Event Description
2011 The 4th China-Ya'an International Panda-Animal and Nature Film Week, the only film exhibition and evaluation event with the theme of "animal and nature" in China, is the largest international animal and nature film exchange event in China and even in the whole of Asia, and will be held from August 18th to 22nd, 2011 in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. Nearly one hundred films on environmental protection themes from more than 20 countries and regions will take part in the exhibition and evaluation activities. The International Initiative Conference on China's Eco-city Construction and Development, the Giant Panda Cultural Tourism Series, the Panda Painter's Paintings and Pens, and other cultural exchanges will also be held successively.
The 4th China-Ya'an International Panda-Animals and Nature Film Week 2011, in cooperation with the Jackson Wildlife Film Festival, will be held under the theme of "Panda Capital - Greening China", aiming to encourage more people to care for animals and nature through the environmental protection film exhibition and evaluation, as well as a series of international cultural exchanges and other activities, and promote the harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature.
