Young dancer Song Yifan, a native of Baoding, Hebei Province, began practicing dance at the age of 4. She was admitted to the Department of Ethnic and Folk Dance at the Beijing Dance Academy at the age of 16, and is now working as a lecturer and dancer at the National Grand Theater. Her sister graduated from the Nanjing Arts Institute.
