Xingtai No.12 Middle School is a key junior high school directly under the Education Bureau of Xingtai City, a window school of the Education Bureau, and a cooperative school of Beijing No.4 Middle School. It is also the only school in Xingtai City that has been selected into the 500 modern schools alliance of the Ministry of Education.

Xingtai No.12 Middle School was awarded the first batch of "Chinese Theme Learning" teacher training base in China, which was selected from more than 5,000 experimental schools in China. In the end, only two middle schools in China won this title, one of which is Xingtai No.12 Middle School. No.12 Middle School participated in the national "Chinese Theme Learning" experiment for two years, and the participation of teachers and students in the whole school reached 95%.
