Aftermath of the flag-raising ceremony in October 2015

First: Five Star Red Flag

October 01, 2015, the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China*** and the State of China. In fact, this year's National Day is the same as most national days, nothing special. After last night's busy day, I thought of leaving less regrets in Beijing, so I thought of going to Tiananmen Square to watch the flag-raising ceremony on the National Day.

Watching the flag-raising ceremony is not a rare event for every Chinese. Watching the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square is a small dream for most Chinese people. This little dream may have begun the moment many people opened their books and saw the picture of Tiananmen Square for the first time in their lives. Watching the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square on National Day is more of an opportunity for the majority of Chinese people. The National Day to Tiananmen Square to watch the flag-raising ceremony, for the vast majority of Chinese people is the determination and patience.

After thinking well, about a few students, we will discuss this morning early to Tiananmen Square. Some students said that at least 5:00 rushed to Tiananmen Square to enter the Tiananmen Square, so we decided to get up at four o'clock to fight to go. We woke up early this morning, washed up quickly and then took a taxi to Tiananmen Square. To Tiananmen only 4:40, but the square has been closed, not allowed to enter the people, we look across the street, the square has been densely packed, neatly standing full of people. It is said that the square was closed at 2:00 a.m., and the people inside were not back to rest last night. Many other people are also last night to Tiananmen waiting. What I did not expect is that both sides of the outer avenue is also crowded with people, we can not even stand on the side of the avenue to go in, - close to the view can not be, far from the opportunity to see! However, since we came, we still squeezed in the back.

One by one, the "Chinese armed police" stood on the side of the avenue, separating us from each other.

A few minutes after 5, it started to rain, lightly at first, but we didn't have umbrellas and we got wet. A lot of people got wet, but no one left, even though there was still an hour before the flag-raising ceremony, which was held at 6:11 today. The rain continued for about half an hour, then stopped for a while, then continued to fall, and so on and so forth until it was time to raise the flag. Beijing's fall is cold, early morning wind gently blowing, the body feels the same: how a cold child!

At 6:00 a.m., the sky began to light up. I've been looking around, and I can't get enough of the people.

The first thing you need to do is to look around and see what's going on.

The flag-raising began, and people everywhere were reaching out to take pictures with their cell phones. The people in the back are usually just looking at the cell phone screens of the people in front of them. The boy who picked up the girl to take a picture was also watching on the girl's cell phone screen. The flag-raising honor guard came out of Tiananmen Square, followed by the band, and the flag-raisers walked at the front with their flags. When the flag was raised, the band began to play music, and the national anthem was played three times before the flag was raised to the top. At this time, the "dove of peace" from the Tiananmen Square tower "brush a" fly out, quickly covered the entire hazy sky, it is estimated that there are tens of thousands of; on the ground is that people cheered, began to snatch a picture. Not long after, the peace doves slowly flew away from the sky over Tiananmen Square, people also slowly dispersed. People dispersed, I see the ground is full of all kinds of garbage, is last night people in Tiananmen waiting to see the flag-raising sleep or sit down with, all kinds of have it.

When evacuated, some people said: "Waiting for a few hours, but also the rain, just to see these minutes. People crowded back to the west, the subway was closed, we could only walk to about 2km away Xidan station to take the bus. It was a slow walk because of the crowds. My classmate said, "It's really empty alleys!" It was still raining sparsely. In a short while, it instantly changed from small to large, clattering down, so people began to run in a panic, trying to find a place to hide from the rain. A few of us were also running like crazy.

The clothes that were already wet were even wetter this time, and the pants were wet, and the shoes were flooded, and the whole body was soaked. Along the street there are selling breakfast, with the wind in addition to the flavor, is a burst of let us cold shivering. A few minutes later, we have become "water chicken", the whole body is dripping water. Finally arrived at Xidan subway station, we managed to squeeze into the subway. I pinched the water on my clothes while saying, "Today is really a sin!" The whole body clothes pants shoes are soaked through, it is very difficult, I all wrapped up, so slightly more comfortable, but this looks very incongruous on the subway, like a farmer down the field, like a punk.

On the floor of the bitter, suffering, really no way to take out the portable "word card" to memorize, in order to divert attention to reduce the pain of the taste. The card is soaked to the skin and is almost broken.

When I got back to the dormitory, I stripped off my clothes and changed into something else, and everyone said, "A lot of people must have gotten cold today!" This time is 8:00, before and after we **** expenditure of 4 hours, in order to watch the flag-raising ceremony.

In fact, to the Tiananmen Square I began to think, why, so many people to see, but also wait overnight to see. Because of patriotism? I think this factor is not the main. Because of curiosity? Perhaps this is the main motivation. In fact, to see I realized, in fact, nothing ah, really nothing ah, in general, nothing special feeling, I do not know if it is because I am too far away from the flag, did not stand in the square, I do not know if it is because of being wet by the rain lost the feeling. In fact, I think of one factor, the "group polarization" effect, that is, the collective drive. In fact, in human life, in the world, a lot of things have meaning or value are present in our hearts, from a "curiosity" about the "unknown", from a kind of experience "freshness from a primitive impulse to experience "freshness". Perhaps curiosity and freshness are the starting point and destination of what we do, and once we lose these two things, our motivation to do things will diminish or even disappear.

The second part: the sacred flag-raising ceremony

On October 1, we ushered in the 66th anniversary of the motherland's birthday. At 4 a.m., our whole family came to Tiananmen Square with excitement to meet the solemn and sacred flag-raising ceremony.

When we arrived there, the moon was still hanging in the sky, but the square was already crowded with people from all over the world gathering here just to witness the exciting moment. Although the autumn wind, but not blow away the enthusiasm of the people, flashing lights reflecting a smiling face, everyone danced the flag, make their own wishes, heartfelt wishes for the prosperity of our great motherland, Happy Birthday!

Finally, the moment of excitement arrived, 6:00 pm, 36 flag class guards lined up in a neat line, majestically out of the Tiananmen end gate, 60 people of the military band followed, accompanied by the melody of "Singing of the motherland," stepped on the vigorous pace, across the Jinshui Bridge, towards the square. 6:11 when the flag bearer will be five-starred red flag tethered to the flagpole, I am thrilled beyond words. With the playing of the national anthem, people sang in unison, the song echoed over the square, flying in the land of China, people looked up at the five-star red flag rising, eyes flashing with tears of excitement, the crowd cheered, the square boiled. The pigeons released into the air, with people's attention, with the good wishes for the motherland, flying to the blue sky, flying to the four corners of the motherland. At this moment, I feel heartfelt happiness and immense pride. Yes, the five-star red flag is sacred, is colored with the blood of the martyrs, I can not help but think of a martyrs who died for the cause of liberation: Dong Cunrui, Qiu Shaoyun, Jiang Zhuyun, Liu Hulan ...... They threw their heads and spilled their blood, and exchanged their precious lives for the happy life we have today.

63 years ago on this day, a great man on the Tiananmen Square tower solemnly announced to the world: "The Chinese people **** and the country was founded, the Chinese people from now on stood up!" Yes, 63 years of wind and rain, our country has undergone radical changes, and our people are happy and well-off. Watching the flag-raising ceremony today made me feel y, I am proud of the rapid development of the motherland, and proud of the strength of the motherland. As the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation, I must devote myself to the defense of the motherland, the construction of the motherland in the sacred cause, in order to accomplish this mission, the only goal is to start from me, from now on, armed with knowledge of their own minds, strong body, do a love of the motherland, love of learning a good student, in the future to really become a pillar of the country, for the motherland's better tomorrow, to create a more brilliant future!

6:50, the flag-raising ceremony has been the past half an hour, long reluctant to leave me, still immersed in the unforgettable happiness ......
